In a fresh wave of Operation True Promise III, the Islamic Republic of Iran Army on Saturday launched dozens of combat and suicide drones at the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a statement, the army said the drones targeted Israeli military positions with precision.

The drones were launched as part of the seventh and eighth stages of the retaliatory military operation against the Zionist regime over the past 24 hours.

It involved the deployment of dozens of suicide drones aimed at strategic enemy positions, the statement noted.

The statement further emphasized that various types of explosive-laden drones were used in the new missions, and majority of them successfully hit their intended targets.

The army described the operations as a decisive response to the continued aggression by the enemy that has continued its illegal attacks on civilian targets across Iran, including hospitals and ambulances.

The aggression started last Friday with the assassination of top military chain of command, scientists and university professors, as well as journalists, athletes and others.

Iranian armed forces have so far carried out 18 phases of the combined missile and drone operations against the Zionist entity, inflicting heavy blows on strategic targets.

Separately, the Iranian Army has also carried out eight drone operations against the enemy with tremendous success.

On Friday, in a statement, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) spokesperson said they deployed Shahed-136 suicide and combat drones, along with precision-guided solid- and liquid-fueled missiles, which hit and destroyed pre-designated targets successfully.

The statement further noted that several squadrons of Shahed-136 drones had been continuously carrying out missions over the skies of the occupied territories with the most advanced air defense systems failing to intercept them.
