The Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that the Israeli occupation forces arrested seven women over the past two days, including a university student, bringing the number of female prisoners in the occupying entity's prisons to 47.

The club added in a statement issued on Monday that the majority of those arrested over the past two days were arrested, according to the occupation's initial allegations, for what it calls "incitement" on social media.

The club explained that this policy represents today the most prominent systematic policy used by the Israeli occupation forces to arrest hundreds of citizens, which constitutes another aspect of the crime of administrative detention.

It explained that this pattern of persecution has become a central tool for imposing further censorship and restrictions on freedom of opinion and expression.

The club noted that the majority of female prisoners are being held in Damon Prison, including two female prisoners from Gaza, two girls, two pregnant women in their sixth month, and 10 administrative detainees.
