The Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa Government, expressed his dissatisfaction with the suspension of numerous development projects, which has deprived communities of essential services they had come to rely on amid an ongoing blockade that has lasted for over a decade.
This came during his meeting with Zena Ali Ahmad, the Resident Representative for the United Nations Development Programme UNDP in Sanaa.
During the meeting, Minister Amer was briefed on the projects currently being implemented by the UNDP office in Yemen for the year 2025.
He indicated that some donor countries had halted development funding for political reasons, stressing the need to continue expanding development initiatives across the country.
For her part, UNDP Resident Representative Zena Ali affirmed that the program is intensifying efforts to engage with donor countries and partners to secure the necessary funding for development projects in Yemen.
