Ansarollah Website - Palestine - Muharram 16, 1447 AH

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth described the video clip released by the Qassam Brigades of the targeting of Israeli soldiers and vehicles east of Khan Yunis as a "new scandal," noting that this is the second time in a month that Zionist soldiers have been left exposed, without adequate fire cover or protection, at zero range, and without any detectable presence of a supporting military force in the vicinity of the operation. The newspaper highlighted what it considered a repeated security failure on the ground. Footage shows Qassam Brigades fighters moving in broad daylight among military vehicles carrying out demolition operations in the city, while soldiers and their weapons are left unprotected.

The newspaper recalled the incident involving the Puma armored personnel carrier, which resulted in the deaths of seven members of the engineering unit. In an angry tone, the newspaper asked, "What is this nonsense about an unprotected engineering vehicle? From this distance, it can be disabled by an RPG. Where is the security?" It considered what happened to demonstrate "serious leadership negligence and disregard for the lives of soldiers."

The newspaper also pointed to what it described as a "worrying phenomenon": "The army is forced to use vehicles and bulldozers rented from contractors working with the army, given the deterioration of military equipment since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, which has led to a severe shortage of fortified vehicles." Yesterday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage as part of the "Stones of David" series of operations, documenting the moment one of its operations was carried out in the Abasan al-Kabira area east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The video showed the targeting of an Israeli military convoy containing soldiers and heavy equipment, including bulldozers and engineering vehicles. The footage shows a direct clash that took place in broad daylight, documenting the escape of one of the soldiers from the scene of the clash, amidst the complete absence of fire cover from other Israeli forces. Meanwhile, Al-Qassam fighters attempted to capture the soldier, before he was killed and his weapon seized.
