Zionist expert on Middle Eastern and African affairs, and Vice President of Tel Aviv University, Eyal Zisser, wrote in Israel Hayom that the so-called “Israeli victory” will remain incomplete unless Israel seriously engages with what he described as the “seventh front” in Yemen.
Zisser stressed that Yemeni strikes “are no longer mere early-morning irritants,” but have evolved into a genuine threat with immediate economic and security repercussions for the Zionist regime.
According to Zisser, the ballistic missiles and drones launched from Yemen are imposing a significant toll, particularly by disrupting maritime traffic in the Red Sea and bringing operations at the port of Eilat to a standstill.
He warned that Israeli complacency toward these attacks “projects weakness,” potentially emboldening the Yemenis to escalate further — possibly targeting Israeli civilian aviation and infrastructure beyond maritime routes.
Zisser argued that this growing threat, if not addressed decisively, could erode Israel’s deterrence and diminish its strategic standing in the region.
He challenged outdated depictions of Ansar Allah as a “primitive group ruling a backward land,” noting that the movement now wields a sophisticated arsenal of drones and missiles, which it deploys with increasing precision despite ongoing strikes against it.
The analyst harshly criticized the Israeli military response, describing it as “fragmented and faltering” — more aimed at public relations than achieving any meaningful deterrence.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Armed Forces continue to launch near-daily operations against the Zionist entity using ballistic missiles, drones, and naval assets, in steadfast solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinian cause. These actions are designed to pressure the occupying regime to halt its genocidal war and enforce a de facto naval embargo on vessels headed to Israeli ports.
Just days ago, the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced that Yemen has carried out 1,679 operations in support of Gaza since the beginning of its campaign — including missile strikes, drone assaults, and maritime attacks.
