The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has confirmed that crimes committed by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank are rising sharply.
The latest assault took place on Saturday evening near the town of Aqraba, southeast of Nablus, where a young man was killed and five others were injured.
The office issued a statement on Sunday saying that since prisoners and national groups declared August 3rd in 2024, it has become a day to renew support for resistance and honor the sacrifices of martyrs, the wounded, and prisoners.
The statement called for stopping the killings in Gaza, freeing all prisoners, and ending torture and disappearances.
It urged Palestinians and people worldwide to join the August 3rd events to show anger against the occupation and stand for dignity and freedom.
The statement also called on human rights groups and courts to take action, hold leaders accountable, and protect civilians and detainees.
The media was encouraged to expose the occupation’s crimes and share the voices of prisoners and Gaza. The statement concluded by calling for August 3rd to spark a popular uprising until the occupation ends and the violence stops.
