The Prisoners Media Office reported on Saturday that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees held in the Zionist enemy’s prisons has reached 10,800 as of early August 2025 — the highest figure recorded since the outbreak of the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000.

The office noted that among the detainees are 49 female prisoners, including two from Gaza, and more than 450 children.

The number of administrative detainees — held without charge or trial — has risen to 3,613, the highest proportion among all categories. In addition, 2,378 detainees have been classified as “unlawful combatants.”

The statement further clarified that the total does not include all detainees from Gaza and also accounts for individuals detained from Lebanon and Syria.
