Residents of Maeen district in the capital, Sana'a, organized several cultural evenings on Monday to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
The events took place across various neighborhoods, including al-Abrar and al-Ghurra in al-Sanina, Qa’a Madhbah and al-Ja’ra in Madhbah, Wadi al-Fajir in Asr, and al-Qulaisi in al-Quba. They featured speeches and cultural performances celebrating the occasion.
Prominent attendees included Member of Parliament Mohammed Mushalli, First Deputy of the Capital Sana'a Khalid al-Madani, and Maeen Director Abdulmalik al-Radhi. They underscored the importance of commemorating this significant religious event in a manner that reflects its deep reverence among Yemenis, sending a strong message to adversaries.
Speeches highlighted the mercy and goodness of the prophetic message, emphasizing the human values and principles that inspire Yemenis to observe the birthday with sincere faith, reinforcing love, loyalty, and commitment to following the Prophet’s righteous path.
The celebrations also focused on the occasion’s role in spiritual purification, ethical behavior, patience, steadfastness, and applying the prophetic methodology in all aspects of life.
Speakers urged that the celebrations be channeled to strengthen social awareness, resilience, and charitable efforts to ease the suffering of the poor and needy, especially during this blessed time.
