Hebrew Newspaper Maariv Reports New Admissions of Israeli Failure Against Escalating Yemeni Drone Strikes, Confirms Ramon Airport in Eilat as a Direct Target

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv has published new acknowledgments of Israeli failure in the face of escalating Yemeni drone attacks, confirming that Ramon Airport in Eilat was once again a direct target of Yemeni drones.

The newspaper reported that a drone struck the airport with a direct hit last Sunday, followed on Monday by the launch of new drones that disrupted warning systems in the south and forced the occupation forces to announce the interception of some of them. Meanwhile, rocket-like objects fell in Eilat amid conflicting assessments regarding their nature, in what appeared to be an attempt to cover up the failure of Israel’s air defenses.

According to Maariv, sirens sounded in several towns reaching as far as Dimona. The Sunday attack alone involved four drones launched from Yemen, one of which successfully struck the Ramon Airport complex directly, leading to the closure of the airport and suspension of air traffic.

Maariv confirmed that the attack resulted in eight settlers sustaining various injuries and panic attacks; all were transported to Yosseftal Hospital in Eilat. Among them were a man wounded by shrapnel, a woman with minor injuries, and others suffering from dizziness and tinnitus.

The newspaper viewed this strike as further evidence of the incapacity of Israeli defense systems to protect vital airports, and that Sana’a continues to impose its deterrence equation, disrupting the enemy and exposing the fragility of its internal front.
