His Excellency, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Leader, al-Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruddin al-Houthi, and to the Yemeni people on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.

In his cable, the President stated: “I extend my sincerest congratulations and blessings to the Leader of the Revolution, al-Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badruddin al-Houthi, may Allah protect him; to our valiant heroes in the Yemeni army and all formations of the Armed Forces and security services; to the sons of our great Yemeni people at home and abroad; and to the sons of our Arab and Islamic Ummah, on the occasion of the advent of the month of Ramadan—the month of , jihad, the Qur’an, and victories.”

He mentioned that the holy month of Ramadan is “a divine gift and a generous educational station, from which we must be keen to benefit in refining and purifying our souls, and in filling its blessed days and nights with all that draws us closer to Allah Almighty—through fasting, prayer, recitation of the Qur’an, and performing acts of good.”

President Al-Mashat also noted that the blessed month of Ramadan is the month of mercy, and that among its most important manifestations is the pursuit of charitable deeds, righteousness, and offering support and solidarity to the poor, the needy, and all those in need.
