Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, called on the Islamic nation to seize the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan as a critical opportunity to correct its course, strengthen values of jihad and social solidarity, and reinforce its connection with the Holy Qur’an as a source of guidance and action.

In his first Ramadan lecture for the year 1447 AH, the leader affirmed that the holy month is a great divine opportunity granted to believers to turn sincerely toward Allah and pursue the means that lead to righteousness and success.

He noted that the Yemeni people are distinguished by their strong engagement with Ramadan despite modern challenges and media influences that seek to weaken religious commitment in Muslim societies.

The Leader explained that the primary objective of fasting is to attain piety (taqwa), which is a vital safeguard that protects believers and opens the doors to blessings and provision.

He added that the state of division and weakness facing the Islamic nation stems from neglecting this essential principle and from shortcomings in adhering to Allah’s commands, stressing the need for serious reassessment and correction.

The Leader emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with the Holy Qur’an during Ramadan, concedering it as a comprehensive guide capable of leading the nation out of disorientation, instability, and humiliating dependence on its enemies. He also warned against the “soft war” targeting the beliefs and awareness of the Ummah, particularly the youth.

The Leader further called for  reinforcing the values of jihad, unity under Allah, social solidarity, charity, and moral reform, urging believers to increase supplication, remembrance of Allah, charitable acts, and maintaining family ties throughout the holy month. He also stressed the importance of spiritual preparation for Laylat al-Qadr from the beginning of Ramadan.

The Leader concluded by pledging to continue delivering Ramadan lectures based on Qur’anic narratives to address the Ummah's challenges and guide it toward the path of truth, asking Allah for success, acceptance, and victory.
