The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, has congratulated the Iranian people, their official institutions, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the selection of Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the third leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement issued on Monday, Sayyed Abdulmalik said completing this important constitutional step under exceptional circumstances strengthens the foundations of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic political system.

He described the move as a “major blow” to the aggressors of the era, the US and Israeli enemy, saying it represents a significant disappointment for them.

Sayyed Abdulmalik added that completing the leadership transition serves as a source of reassurance for the Iranian people following the martyrdom of Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, whom he said had long guided the Islamic Republic.

He reaffirmed Yemen’s solidarity with Iran in confronting American and Israeli aggression, stressing that the objective is to implement a Zionist plan under the banner of “changing the Middle East” and enabling “Greater Israel.”

He stressed that Iran’s steadfastness and effective confrontation of aggression would ultimately lead to victory, saying signs of such an outcome are already visible in the failure of enemy objectives and the resilience of the Iranian people and their loyalty to the Islamic system.

Sayyed Abdulmalik also said that the successful selection of a third leader demonstrates the continuity and stability of Iran’s political system and its leadership structure.

Sayyed Mojtaba's appointment comes amid heightened regional tensions, with ongoing American-Zionist aggression against Iran that also claimed the lives of several family members. The United States had previously imposed sanctions on Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei in 2019.

This marks only the second leadership transition in the Islamic Republic's history since the 1979 revolution, signaling the continuation of Iran's path of resistance against the global arrogance and tyranny.
