Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that Iran “does not seek to expand the war,” affirming that it “has not initiated any conflict and will not do so.”

During an inspection visit to the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Pezeshkian explained that his country “has not attacked any state and does not intend to assault any party,” emphasizing that its actions fall within the framework of legitimate self-defense.

In the context of regional relations, Pezeshkian stated that Iran views the countries of the region as “brotherly nations,” stressing that joint cooperation is sufficient to prevent foreign interventions aimed at stirring divisions among the peoples of the region.

Regarding the nuclear file, Pezeshkian affirmed that no party has the right to deprive Iran of its nuclear rights, stressing the need to deal “on the basis of fairness with all peoples within the international system.”

He also condemned attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, considering them unjustified and inconsistent with claims related to human rights and democracy, while at the same time criticizing the highly contradictory claims by adversaries.

He said in this context: “At times they claim their goal is the progress of the Iranian people, and at other times they want to return our country to the Stone Age and destroy our civilization.”

Pezeshkian criticized the performance of international organizations and their double standards regarding human rights, describing them as “asleep and incapable of responding to the crimes being committed.”

The Iranian president affirmed that despite differences on some internal issues, the people demonstrate cohesion and resilience when it comes to national matters.
