Tasnim International News Agency denied on Tuesday reports circulating in some foreign news outlets, attributed to Maersk, regarding the passage of the company's vessel, the Alliance Fairfax, through the Strait of Hormuz last night under US military escort. The agency described these reports as "inaccurate."

It clarified that no official statement had been issued by Maersk, the ship's operator, to confirm the incident. The agency based its denial on data from the ship's Automatic Identification System (AIS), which showed that its last location transmission was 65 days ago, when it was anchored near the UAE coast at Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi.

In a related context, the agency noted that reliable websites specializing in tracking maritime traffic have not, as of yet, published any news or data confirming the vessel's passage through the Strait of Hormuz. On Monday, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement outlining navigation regulations in the Strait of Hormuz. The statement emphasized that its naval force is responsible for determining and ensuring the safety of transit routes, and that there have been no changes to the strait's management mechanism.

The IRGC spokesperson clarified that any maritime movement of civilian and commercial vessels will be "safe and secure" provided it adheres to the navigational protocols issued by the IRGC Navy and transits through "designated routes and with the necessary coordination."
