The Mehr News Agency reported that the meeting took place on Saturday evening between the two sides and included discussions on a number of shared issues, without disclosing additional details regarding the substance of the talks.
In a related context, an official from the Pakistani Ministry of Interior reported that Minister Mohsin Naqvi carries a special government message related to the US-Iranian talks, without providing further clarifications on its content.
Later, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that an Iranian delegation headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf will travel to Switzerland to follow up on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) commitments, as part of the ongoing series of consultations with relevant parties.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the delegation will demand the implementation of the opposing party's obligations during the visit, noting that the mechanism for executing those commitments will become clear during the talks, at a time when Tehran stresses the necessity of full compliance with the terms of the agreement.
In another related development, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to maritime navigation. It indicated that the decision comes in response to the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the non-compliance with the ceasefire terms, in addition to what it described as a violation of relevant international understandings. The headquarters confirmed that this step marks the beginning of retaliatory measures against ongoing developments, hinting at the possibility of taking additional steps if the escalation continues.
