Zionist reports indicate that six soldiers, including an officer, were killed and more than 20 others were wounded in varying degrees during the past three days in clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. This brings the total number of enemy "army" fatalities since last March to 36.
The enemy "army" clarified that it had identified one of the four soldiers killed in the targeting of a tank belonging to the 52nd Armored Battalion at dawn on Friday, during a military operation carried out by the 36th Division in Ali al-Taher hill area south of Nabatieh.
According to Hebrew radio, the attack occurred after midnight on Friday, when the tank was targeted during the assault using anti-tank missiles, likely of the Kornet type, in addition to an explosive-laden drone.
Preliminary investigation results indicate that the drone managed to penetrate the rear of the tank and explode inside, resulting in the deaths of several crew members. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that 36 Israeli officers and soldiers have been killed in Lebanon since the outbreak of fighting with Hezbollah on March 2nd.
The newspaper indicated that this toll reflects the scale of casualties suffered by Israeli forces during the ongoing military operations on the Lebanese front since the beginning of the escalation.
