Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that violations of certain clauses in the memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the United States and the Israeli entity constitute an obstacle to restoring security and stability.

Araghchi stated that "Iran is following the implementation of the agreement's clauses in good faith based on the principle of commitment for commitment, but it will deal decisively with any breach of pacts."

In the same context, Araghchi emphasized to Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi the necessity of establishing an endogenous peace mechanism among the countries of the region, according to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Araghchi detailed to al-Aboudi Washington's broken promises and repeated violations of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. Furthermore, the ministry noted that "Araghchi stressed the need for regional countries to strive toward establishing sustainable peace and security, away from the military intervention of foreign powers."

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that Araghchi met with Iraqi President Nizar Amidi, conveying to him the greetings of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Republic, Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

For his part, National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi stated during his meeting with Araghchi that Iraq does not forget Iran's support, particularly in confronting ISIS and terrorism.

During his meeting with the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, Araghchi expressed hope that "the countries of the region would strive to formulate a collective security architecture based on trust and cooperation."

Earlier on Sunday, during a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, Araghchi stated that keeping the Strait of Hormuz open is linked to non-interference in its management, calling on Washington to pressure "Israel" to withdraw from Lebanon.
