The fifth edition of the "International Call of Al-Aqsa" conference launched today, Saturday, in the Iraqi city of Karbala, with the participation of dozens of religious, political, and media figures.

The General Coordinator of the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine, Abdul Latif Al-Hajj, stressed that "Gaza is bleeding and its children's cries for help have not stopped," emphasizing that Palestine represents a cause of freedom and dignity in an era where campaigns of disinformation and distortion of awareness are multiplying.

Al-Hajj pointed to the martyrdom of dozens of people daily, asserting that the blood of innocent children and women "speaks only the language of steadfastness." He also noted that digital media has come to play an important role in shaping global awareness, necessitating investment in it.

For his part, Sheikh Alireza Arafi, a member of the Guardian Council in Iran, confirmed that the Islamic world today stands at one of its most complex stages, and that Gaza represents the central issue, while scholars and elites are capable of elevating the Islamic nation.

He explained that the battle taking place today in Palestine and the rest of the nation cannot be understood without understanding its historical trajectory, noting that the Americans seek to control and fragment the region, dominate its resources, and protect the Zionist entity.

He added that "the project of the Islamic Revolution is an integrative and resistance-based project, which is what we have translated on the ground," emphasizing that the Palestinian issue remains the central cause, and that the Palestinian people's suffering under the occupation represents the bleeding wound.

Arafi expressed his view that some countries in the region side with the executioner and against Iran, which he described as "the last trench in defense of Palestine."

In his speech during the conference, former Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour affirmed that the region is passing through the most dangerous stage in its modern history, requiring an urgent confrontation against the widespread disinformation campaigns spread by "Israel" to distort reality.

Mansour stressed the necessity of countering the "Abrahamic Project" and redirecting the compass back toward Palestine, calling for the launch of a broad popular movement across the Arab and Islamic nations, encompassing the free people of the world to take actual action.

For his part, the representative of the Mufti of Iraq issued an appeal to media outlets, thinkers, and writers to convey the truth of the bitter reality that the Palestinian people are living.

The launch of the conference comes at a time when the Zionist enemy continues its aggressions against the occupied West Bank, occupied Al-Quds, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Zionist enemy also continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip through intensive airstrikes targeting civilians, in blatant violation of the "ceasefire agreement." Zionist violations encompass all aspects of life in Gaza, as the enemy entity continues to block supplies of food, medicine, and necessary goods to the Strip, in addition to occupying vast areas of Gaza.
