Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed that "there is no ambiguity in Article 5 of the Memorandum of Understanding, which stipulates that Iran will make the necessary arrangements to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within a month."

Araghchi clarified that "these arrangements mean that Iran is the party that determines the route and the shipping lane to ensure the return of maritime traffic to pre-war levels." Speaking to the Iran newspaper, he noted that "if a new lane is to be added or another canceled, it must take place within the framework of consultation with Iran and in accordance with Article 5."

The Iranian Foreign Minister added that "the route designated by Iran was based on security considerations and maritime safety because the area had been mined," pointing out that "the Americans were directing ships away from the route specified by Iran and practically pushing them to use another route in the Strait of Hormuz."

Regarding regional relations and security, Araghchi emphasized: "We are in continuous contact with the countries of the region, and we make it clear that we hold no hostility toward them," asserting that there is a "shared understanding at the regional level that the measures taken by Iran do not stem from hostility toward neighboring states."

Araghchi continued, explaining that "an understanding is forming today that regional security must be achieved collectively, and countries cannot purchase their security, especially from abroad," noting that "some regional countries have come to realize that the presence of U.S. bases has turned, in certain cases, into a factor threatening their security."

The Iranian Foreign Minister concluded by warning that "our communications with countries inside and outside the region indicate a readiness for dialogue with Iran, and it is natural that both parties have mutual criticisms."

For his part, the Commander of Iran's "Khatam al-Anbiya" Central Headquarters, Major General Ali Abdollahi, announced on Friday evening the adoption of a fixed and declared equation on the battlefield against U.S. forces.

He stated that "the rule we have previously proven to the enemy to be feasible will from now on be considered a fixed and declared equation on the battlefield: in exchange for the martyrdom of every dear citizen of Islamic Iran, the fate of one American element will be destruction."
