The spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran, Major General Hossein Mohebbi, announced that over 15 days of fighting—spanning between July 8 and July 22—Iranian armed forces managed to destroy a number of American aircraft and drones inside military bases in the region.

Major General Mohebbi stated that the Iranian armed forces destroyed 11 American fighter jets and helicopters on the ground while positioned at U.S. bases in the region, adding that 17 reconnaissance and operational drones were also destroyed, including 8 that were entirely new.

The IRGC spokesman added that the operations resulted in the destruction of an F-15 fighter jet inside a fortified shelter, a P-8 aircraft, a C-17 military transport plane, as well as 8 refueling tanker aircraft.
