Iranian Judiciary Chief Sheikh Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei stressed that the current war with the enemy is an existential war, noting that the Zionist entity does not seek merely to divide Iran, but rather to destroy and eliminate it. He further affirmed that the existence of this entity poses a threat to all humanity.

Speaking during a consultative meeting with a number of economists on Saturday, Ejei said that the enemy had worked to prevent Iran’s growth, progress, and emergence as a power since the victory of the Islamic Revolution. However, he noted that these conspiracies had been thwarted thanks to the participation, cohesion, and unity of various segments of society, stressing that the enemy had failed to achieve its objectives despite the damage it had inflicted on the country.

On the economic front, Ejei called on economists and those active in the sector to put forward practical proposals and urgent, rational solutions to address the current problems, foremost among them stagflation, rising liquidity, the depreciation of the national currency, and fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. He also stressed the need to address the root causes of these crises.

He underscored the necessity of coordinating and integrating decisions among the three branches of government to ensure that economic challenges are addressed amid the circumstances of war and its consequences. He called for the adoption of policies and programmes suited to the requirements of the current stage, while cautioning against overlooking the imposed war and external pressures on Iran’s economy.

The head of the judiciary also emphasised the importance of preserving social capital and strengthening public confidence. He warned that continuously focusing on shortcomings without offering appropriate solutions could negatively affect citizens’ confidence and hope, stressing the need to combine the identification of problems with the development of the necessary remedies.
