Sayyed Abdul Malik Al-Houthi Speech
on the Occasion
of the Birthday Anniversary of Fatima Al-Zahra
February 25, 2019
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Saitan.
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth. I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant, His messenger, and the Seal of the Prophets. O Allah, let Your mercy and blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You let Your mercy and blessings come upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, be pleased with his companions- the righteous ones - and all your righteous servants.
Brothers and sisters, our dear Muslim Yemeni people, peace be upon you along with Allah's mercy and blessings.
Today, we’re going to be talking about Fatima Al-Zahra's birth anniversary, the daughter of Muhammad , mercy and blessings of Allah be upon him and his pure family. On this occasion, we send our congratulations and greetings to all Muslim sisters and mothers across the Islamic world. In our speech, we are going to focus on three key parts. The first part deals with some of the lessons learned from this occasion. The second part focuses on enemies' efforts to spread division among our people, the Yemeni people, through stirring up racial, sectarian, and regional strife. The third part discusses the current situation in Yemen , particularly with regard to the Sweden Agreement and the war.
Fortunately, we have plenty of time since the afternoon period is a lengthy period, not used to deliver main programs by the media. As we start with our first part concerning the lessons learned from this occasion, it is worth mentioning that this occasion is , like many Islamic occasions, of great importance because of the learned lessons that can be taken from this occasion- lessons that make a moral, cultural, and educational impact that can positively contribute to our faith-promoting.
One of the most important topics related to this occasion is the importance of setting the right example and the good role model, which is crucial to our journey to faith and to the process of facing challenges. The Holly Quran pays a great deal of attention to setting examples that attract us as we move forward in this life to establish our religion and remain steadfast in religion. We can find in the Holly Quran a great and varied portion of discourse and multiple examples from the lives of prophets- blessings of Allah be upon them- that have to do with our lives and the process of establishing religion. In addition, it presents lessons to us on the prophets and others from outside the circle of prophets, like the mention of the Companions of the Cave represented in the Quran as examples of an excellent pattern. The Quran was able through setting examples to present important lessons that cover particular key aspects. Some other examples are: the believer from the people of Pharaoh, and the believer of the village mentioned in Surat Yaseen. With respect to women, we can find the mention of Moses' mother, blessings of Allah be upon him, Moses' sister, Pharaoh's wife, the wife of Imran, and Maryam .
There are many excellent examples, fine and important examples that we cannot but admire as we head to act according to the teachings and instructions of Allah. These examples are very important in many respects. First, they give us evidence on the possibility of performing the instructions and guidelines from Allah, the performing of which is within the extent of humans' capacity. There are those who, in their efforts to hinder from these instructions, try to introduce these instructions as instructions that can't be carried out, and are not within the extent of humans' capacity. However, these examples make it clear that Allah's instructions and guidelines are within the extent of humans' capacity, who can observe and perform them. These examples show how Allah's instructions, guidelines, and values are of great benefit when they are implemented and exercised in the real world- their positive impact becomes more and more obvious, the positive impact in the real life, in humans' psyche and deeds. And this is very important. , these examples present the excellent pattern to follow while in the process of performing these instructions, which is among the most important issues that should be taken care of because Islam comes in the form of instructions. The religion of Allah comes in the form of specific instructions, guidelines , descriptions, and commands.
In the process of performing instructions in the right way, we need examples. And this is the reason why Allah refers to the status of his prophets as role models and examples of the highest position by saying, " There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day." The prophet is presented as a good role model and pattern for the right way of acting in accordance with Allah's instructions, for following the excellent pattern of behavior, and for remaining on a right course, which often requires the tender of sacrifice, patience, and other noble virtues. There is great importance. But there are things lead to deviation and distortion; among these things is the admiring of wrong figures or bad role models. When such a thing occurs, it causes very big damage. When the nation looks up to wrong examples and misleading ones, it ends up with a bad impact resulted from following these examples and figures in the wrong pattern of conduct. Therefore, the right religious pattern is only presented by good role models that learn us , through performing, the right pattern to follow in establishing religion in an appropriate way. This is essential for the process of guidance, motivation, encouragement, and attraction because the implementation of divine instructions and guidelines in the real life makes their beauty and positive impacts more obvious for people to see and feel. This is why we find a varied portion of Quranic verses describes the behavior and deeds of a prophet, believer, or faithful woman, and even runs deep into the psychological or emotional state of such persons., Ibrahim received mentions in the Holly Quran, which shared various occasions related to Ibrahim, including the story of Ibrahim when he destroyed the idols of his people for the purpose of guiding them to the truth, and his other story when he showed readiness to slay his son in compliance with Allah's instructions. There are also more occasions, and behind every occasion there are lessons to be learned - important lessons of positive impacts on the spiritual state of humans, their emotions, and moral and behavioral obligation. The same can be said of the mention of other prophets, believers, and female role models who played a historical and important role and fulfilled their moral and spiritual obligations.
It is important for us to benefit from this occasion since we are in the mention of the best role model presented by Islam for righteous women at the world level - the role model of Fatima Al-Zahra. This occasion can set the direction for us to confront the challenges before us. A big part of our fight with the enemies of this nation is focused on confronting the cultural and intellectual invasion and the efforts targeted at this nation and its principles, values, virtues, and faith. This battle is very important and dangerous. The process of setting the right examples and role models of righteousness is a very important element essential for resistance, solidarity in this battle, and steadfastness in the battle field. Enemies' main aim in this battle against us ,as a Muslim nation, is to control us.
As a Muslim, enemies seek to control you, irrespective of your gender. They seek to control everyone; to achieve that, they are using different means. The control they are seeking to have comes from a person who possess a characteristic of enmity towards you. As enemies, they want to control us, take advantage of us, make us slaves, and to have our capabilities under their control. And to win this battle, they pursue a dangerous multi-track approach that has to do with the intellectual and cultural level. They seek to control you psychologically, to control your thinking, your culture, and finally your attitude. They fight a brutal war and use many means, and take the advantage of any form of distortion or deviation in this nation to use it to influence the nation and ,as a result, control its thoughts and attitudes. If they succeeded in that, it will be easy for them to control this or that person and make him/her a remote-controlled servant who acts in accordance with the will of these enemies, who hold the remote-control device - the device of cultural and intellectual domination used to control the person's morale and attitude.
Then they control this person and use him/her however they like., the role of this person in this life, as well as the role of the whole nation, becomes a role that benefits these enemies. The nation becomes a nation that does all within its power to serve its enemies and protect their interests. And this is exactly what these enemies are trying to achieve.
The most basic benefit of Islam when we act in accordance with this religion with a true understanding is that it protects us from slavery and exploitation by Taghut and the enemies of the Muslim nation. Islam makes us a free and independent nation that is free from the influence of its enemies and refuses to bend the knee to its enemies. Islam- through its programs, holy laws, instructions, guidelines, plan for life, and role models- gives us this benefit, frees us, makes us independent, and drives us out of subordination to those greedy forces and oppressors who consider humans and their possessions as animals and wealth that must be used in the way that serves their interests, ambitions, and desires.
On this occasion, realizing that we fight a dangerous battle against our enemies – in which we need to shield ourselves culturally and morally because enemies seek to control us culturally and morally and corrupt us- makes it important for us to be aware that a considerable amount of enemies' key efforts in this cultural battle will be directed at women. Everyone is targeted, whether a man, child, or youth, but women are among enemies' top priorities. In this battle, they target everyone but great focus is on women.
But why women?! Women are an integral part of the family and society. In their efforts to spread disintegration in the Muslim society, enemies start with the family unit, to which women are essential due to the important role they play as mothers and wives.
The Muslim society, which is targeted by its enemies, consists of basic units. And the family unit is the most fundamental unit of this community, so if this unit was destroyed, the whole Muslim community will disintegrate and become an easy target that can be dominated and would be easy to break. Islam is aware of this. But how does it protect the community and its units? It does that by protecting the fundamental unit of the Muslim community that is family, in which a woman ,who is basic to the family unit, plays an important role as a housewife. For this reason, Islam focuses on protecting women from any campaign aimed at controlling their thinking, culture, morals, and spiritual state and at influencing their attitudes, activities, and interests in this life.
Be aware of the fact that enemies pretend that women are among their major concerns. They work under the cover of "Women's Rights", carrying out various activities, programs, and projects. Let us take a look at these enemies. First, how is their culture? And second, what can their practice, behavior, and programs tell us about them? Then, let us see how they deal with women in the Islamic world ; what they do to our oppressed nations. Let us take that into consideration while comparing that to what Islam provides. Of course it is incomparable. In doing that, we will be able to distinguish the right from the wrong and know where women are being taken care of in the way that protect them and their rights and pays attention to the importance of women and their role in this life.
These enemies waving the banner of "Women's Rights" are the ones who, through their culture, practices, and polices pose the highest threat to women, even to men and the whole nation. Their cultural view of women is a bad one. The Zionists, as example, are the ones who lead the western community and have control over its polices. From their cultural point of view, a woman is a symbolic representation of evil, a tool being used by Saitan, and the key reason for seducing Adam to eat from the forbidden fruit.
Many of their transcriptions and cultural beliefs express this negative view they have on women, who in their eyes represent a symbol of evil and moral decay, and are responsible for seducing Adam to obey Seitan. In addition, one can find that their policies and programs often aim at exploiting women like if they were cheap commodities. They also use women as a tool to spread corruption. The Zionists harm women's dignity and modesty, take them out of their protected zone of the divine laws made to protect them and their modesty, purity, and positive role in life, and open them up to tracks and programs that increase that gap. As a result, the Zionists have inflicted great damage on human society, as well as their own societies. Now, in the Western society, America and European countries ,for example, are seriously suffering from social and family disintegration and the collapse of the social and family structure, resulting in disastrous impacts on the situation of people there, their lives, and manners. There are many stories that give a clear image of how critical the situation is there, but we don't have enough time.
And here they are coming to our own society, the society that still remains steadfast in Islam, where there is still a good level of family integration and family has its sacred position. They aim at tearing our society, as they did, and still do, to other societies. Their aim is to disturb the family unit with the use of different banners. First, they seek to increase differences in the family, differences between males and females, by creating a separate world for women and another one for men, and pushing women to ask for their rights and be a partner in this life but in a way that promotes dispute, divergence, and conflicts. Of course, there is no doubt that women are a natural partner in life. Life is based on the integration between men and women; we will discuss this point when we speak about what Islam offered and still offering . They don’t want us to move together as a united nation with the same attitude and to have a life full with harmony, in the way the Quran recommended, " the one of you being from the other." No , they set their mind on spreading differences that result into pushing every gender to have its own separate path. Men move alone and so women, and as a result, both men and women end up in competing against each other, conflicting each other, and provoking against one another. The same strategy is being used with all society members.
Recently, they made an independent classification for the youth. To my astonishment, when there is a political dialogue, there are those who insist that every component should have its own representation. For example, political components (by the way this occurred here in Yemen) should have their own representation in their society, but at the same time they call for women's representation as an independent segment in spite of the fact that every political component includes men, women, elderly people, and youths. They want to establish a classification system that presents a political classification as an independent classification that has nothing to do with the representation of social components that include men, women, youths, and elderly people.
They want the youth to have their own classification, as they do for women, like if they were separate groups. And then, there is another classification, a political one, in which women have their own representation; the youth have theirs. Tell me, who is still without representation, maybe children or the elderly! It is a strange way to tear the community with the use of all banners. Imagine a situation in which they come to a family to ask its head to take an independent political track; then they ask the wife to take a different political track; then they ask the young members to take another political track; and so on until they reach to the family's children and tell them, " Here is your political track.". What a way to spread disintegration!
We made it clear to them that every component includes youths, women, men, etc. Why would you call for the political representation of women who are already included in a component that also includes men, youths, young and old persons?!
In response, they say , " For sure, the youth must be represented, and women are no exception. Even children must be represented." This tears at the very fabric of society. They are inventing some pretext to spread disintegration among people. The Holly Quran gives a very beautiful description," You are all related to one another," one body. However, they keep spreading division - political division that extends to all walks of life. They seize every opportunity to achieve that, provoking women and men against one another and the youth against the elderly.
Second, a considerable amount of effort is going into corrupting women, affecting their spirit and attitude, and using them to seduce others. This is clear. Corrupting women has become, under the pretext of human development, a focus for all the efforts of the Western world and its organizations, whose cultural and educational programs focus on corrupting women.
First, they try to push women to abandon Islamic guiding principles meant to protect them by encouraging mixed-gender interaction among men and women with no regard for any Islamic guiding principles. They push women out of their domestic environment represented in their families - the protected environment- to establish relationships with unlimited range of people without any boundaries. This point is of great importance to them because it enables them to corrupt women and use them for corrupting others. It doesn’t need great effort to see how their programs are targeted at women to make them abandon their protected environment. Be aware that the Holly Quran did regulate the relationships of women even at the family level, showing them how their relationships should be with their husbands and others, highlighting modesty-related issues, and setting rules to protect them and keep their modesty, dignity, and honor untouched.
Enemies want indecency and immoral crimes to spread. Organizations in some communities open the way for the spread of AIDS , encourage committing crimes, and promise to spare no efforts to fight such epidemics because they are aware that the spread of immoral crimes and the corrosion of moral standards lead to social and health problems along with other serious problems in any country that suffers from the spread of such epidemics.
Their efforts are targeted at women to corrupt them and turn them into a tool used to corrupt others. They also try to defame Allah-made laws set to protect women and help them to play their role in this life. They defame these laws in the eyes of women and work on presenting them as a form of backwardness. To their likeness, they portray decency, modesty, purity, moral self-maintenance and moral integrity as backwardness while indecency, nudity, unrestrained relations are portrayed as progress, development, and civilization. On what basis would indecency or crimes become a sign of civilization and progress? Or become of a positive impact contributing to the process of building any society?! This can only be seen as the work of Satan and his followers, who seek to direct women into such a direction in a way that harms women's dignity and enables these enemies to dominate women's thinking and come up with woman-related activities of a bad impact on women and their societies with the aim of controlling women and all other society members.
With the slightest effort, one can find that they are not interested in what provides real protection for women in the Muslim world. Instead, they are the ones who are harming women in Palestine and supporting Israel, which is part of the Western world and shares the same ideology, imperialist tendency, and aggressive behavior against the Islamic nation and Muslims. They support Israel to kill, imprison, rape, harass, and oppress women in Palestine. Have they offered protection for Palestine's women against the danger imposed by Israel? On the contrary, Palestine's women are being killed with American weapons and imprisoned with their help and unlimited protection for Israel. Can there still be any doubt that women in Yemen were killed with American and British bombs and weapons made in France and several European countries? Women here were killed in their hundreds with American and Western military hardware, as well as children, weren’t they? When have they provided any protection for women? If they really care about women's rights, their reaction would have been different and they wouldn’t have allowed the occurrence of this, in every sense of the word, brutal and unlawful killing and inhuman and brutal campaign against women and every living person in Yemen, irrespective of his/her age. In their policies, culture, practices, and attitudes, they don’t care about women in the Muslim world and only want to use them. On the other hand, Islam has given priority to women since its first day - but in a great divine way and methodology that go in line with the basic human instinct and social composition of human society.
When Islam emerged, women in all Christian, Jewish, and idolatry societies were subject to humiliation, oppression, unfair treatment, and torture. In Arabic societies, women were very badly viewed by many. The Holly Quran expressed that : 'And when the news of (the birth of) a female (child) is brought to any of them, his face becomes dark, and he is filled with inward grief! He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that whereof he has been informed.' So, a man would hide from people in order to avoid disgrace of having a female child! "He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that whereof he has been informed. Shall he keep her with dishonor or bury her in the earth?" Shall he raise her and risks being subject to his community's blame and cruel words, or shall he bury her in a brutal way. With regard to the Jews, they view women as a symbol of evil and danger. In fact, other societies are no exception. Islam came to present the right view, to communicate with every human society, and to rebuild human society in the right way.
Allah says in the Holly Quran, "O mankind! Have piety towards your Lord who created you from a single soul and created from it his mate and from the two scattered countless men and women." Islam came to restore the dignity of women by stating that women and men are related to one another and on the same footing. They only differ in gender and were created from a single soul. In stating that, Islam seeks to eliminate the negative view on women and to remove discrimination that results into creating differences that increase disintegration among families. A one united structure that builds society, as well as building a family of close ties that has a positive view diametrically opposed to the previous view that takes poor, hostile, and negative view of women as a source of disgrace. All of us are human beings, women and men are human beings created from a single soul and their lives are related to each other. Therefore, the Holly Quran, as well as every revelation from Allah to His messengers, confirms this truth , builds the reality of the human race based on this truth, and opens the way for every human being, male or female, to achieve transcendence in the fields of humanity, morality, and spirituality. In confirming this, Allah says, " Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, We will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did." And Allah also says, "So their Lord accepted their prayer: That I will not waste the work of a worker among you, whether male or female, the one of you being from the other." So, you're all related to each other and Allah opens the way for you to achieve spiritual, moral, and humanitarian transcendence. Being held to high positions or eligible to what Allah promised of a great reward and good fortune is not limited to men but both men and women, male and female. Allah presented many role models from the world of women- If I can put it that way because it is not appropriate to look at women as a separate world.
Among women are those who are held to some of the highest positions of spirituality not reached by many men. The position that Maryam reached is a very high position considering the fact that Allah chose her and she was the receiver of angels' speech, "Behold! the angels said: 'O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations.'" There are many role models in the history from women who were able to promote themselves within the scope of humanity, morality, and values till they reached very high positions. One of these examples is Khadija who is the mother of the believers, the prophet's wife, and the mother of Fatima. She was able to rise in human and moral perfection to high levels. And because of her high position of spirituality, Allah sent His word of peace to her through Jibreel, according to what was attributed to the prophet Mohammed, and gave her good tidings of a house in Paradise, giving a clear image that the pursuit of human perfection is for both women and men and can only be achieved through the promotion of moral and humanitarian standards, which enable the human being, whether male or female, to play a positive role in this life. Humans' success in becoming held to a high position and playing a good and positive role in this life depends on the humanitarian, moral, and spiritual transcendence they achieve. Based on that, women can't be of a positive and important role by abandoning moral standards and engaging in unrestrained relationships.
Morality, values, and humanity are the window through which a person can play a positive and beneficial role in this life and be held to a high position with Allah. Being female never held women like Maryam, Khadija, Moses' mother, Imran's wife, and Fatima Al-Zahra back from reaching a very high position with Allah- a very high position in the human world considering their moral level and high position with Allah. They did surpass many men in their knowledge and positive role in this life. Such a remarkable achievement wouldn’t have been reached if it wasn’t for Allah's religion and prophets. Islam, as well as all divine religions, came with instructions and guidelines that protect women and enable them to achieve transcendence in the fields of humanity and spirituality and to play a positive role in this life.
Their role starts from their homes. This role, which has always been subject to enemies' smear campaigns, starts from homes, where men and women are being made, and where much of the responsibility is on women as mothers. Therefore, the more righteous a mother becomes (a mother who enjoys good morals, values, and spiritual and humanitarian characteristics) ,the greater role she will play in educating generations, considering the fact that every man is the son of a woman except for Adam, peace be upon him, from whom Allah created Eve, " And created from it his mate."
The aim for women is to abandon this key role, abandon raising children, and leave their homes. Women are wanted to abandon this role that needs the quality of compassion, empathy, and pity inserted in them by Allah, who did so for the purpose of mixing their compassion and pity with the divine values of this religion in the way that enables women to raise a righteous generation, to fulfil their duties towards their husbands, and to play a significant assisting role in this life. Women represent the base of their families and the cornerstone on which families are being built. Therefore, the more righteous they are, the more positive impact they can have. And they also play a role with their husbands, in their parents' families, and their communities as well: 'The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.'
When it comes to women's role in public life, women share their part of sacrifice and suffering and participate in every corner of public life, but their participation is based on a way that adds to their protection not on a way that encourages the corrosion of moral standards and unrestrained relationships. Women's contributions in all fields in this life can be seen through their sons and daughters, their good contributions that go in line with Islamic guiding principles, and their contributions with their husbands and parents. Such contributions are very important in this life and differ from a woman to another according to their talents.
Islam is aware of this role and presents very excellent role models. Of these role models is Fatima Al-Zahra, a woman who was described by the prophet as the mistress of the women of the worlds, the women of the believers, and the women of Paradise.
It is important to know that this description is not about titles given for the purpose of reputation polishing. No, the description by the prophet is bound to the truth that has nothing to do with vain titles. Being the mistress of the women of the worlds means she is held to the highest position of spirituality, human perfection, and morality a woman can ever reach. This indicates that she is the most perfect women in her faith and represents the perfect role model for women in every generation and in every age to look up to and find how Fatima as a woman was able to achieve this degree of purity, modesty, devotion to Allah, and faith and to raise herself to this high level of moral and humanitarian value in all fields. Getting attracted to this role model forms the grounds for women to enjoy righteousness of great evidence on the importance of such values and their impact on humans, their life, spiritual state, behavior, and practices- raising them to a high position with Allah.
She is the world's number one role model for women to follow. Such a position is regarded by humans as among the highest positions of spiritual, moral, and human perfection . Fatima's being the mistress of the women of the believers, as the prophet said, was the outcome of her moral characteristics and position of spirituality that made it possible for her to rise to such a position. The prophet describes Fatima as the mistress of the women of the believers so as not to let people confuse this title with other fake titles some persons receive from their own friends or people out of prejudices. In the Day of Judgment, the day that will bring down some and raise up others, these fake titles will be useless and fade away because they contrast with the reality of their holders. However, the status of Fatima will remain the same in the Hereafter because Fatima has a spiritual status that doesn't contrast with the reality. She will be in Paradise with the same high position - the position of spirituality, morality, and humanity.
We don’t have enough time to speak more about Fatima, but I would like to draw the attention of sisters and mothers that there are two related booklets of great benefit. The first one is written by Yahiya Abu Awatha and has the title of "In the Presence of Fatima Al-Zahra". The second booklet belongs to Hamoud Al-Ehnoumi and named " That is Fatima Al-Zahra". Fatima Al-Zahra grew up in a very good environment, which can't be better, under the care of her father- the prophet peace be upon him and his family- and her mother Khadija. Not only she was raised well by the prophet but she was also self-prepared which helped her to achieve great transcendence in the early stages of her youth. She raised herself to a high level of spirituality and was married to Ali, peace be upon him, by the prophet, who said that Ali is to him like Aaron to Moses. The marriage of these two established for the emerging of a great family that was a fundamental unit to human society and part of the Muslim world, achieved a high level of spiritual transcendence, and raised to a high position.
This family (which consisted of the prophet, who plays the role of the father and virtuous educator; Imam Ali, who is the Messenger's student and solider and whose position to the Messenger is equal to that of Aaron to Moses; Fatima, who is the daughter of the Messenger and the mistress of the women of the worlds and believers; Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein, who are Fatima and Ali's sons; and the other sons of Fatima) saw the seeds of a righteous family that represented a good role model that achieved spiritual and moral transcendence and nearness to Allah – the best role model in its devotion to Allah.
When we look for a role model for Muslim families to follow, it is important to put into consideration that this family is the one for us to learn how to worship Allah in the way that pushes us to spare no effort to obey Him and act in accordance to His instructions in order to enjoy values and good morals and move forward in this life in love, harmony and respect for others. Being in such a position did not lead this family to deal with people arrogantly, unjustly, or poorly. This family's implementation of faith is clearly demonstrated in their daily life, even in their behavior with others. This family had no problem to give their own food to the poor , the orphan, and the captive and sleep with empty stomachs, even at a time they were preparing to break their fast, "We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks poor." This family presents the right role model for Muslim families. The Hadith Al-Kisa shows us to what extent this family reached in its faith in Allah, its righteousness, and purity. In Hadith Al-Kisa, the prophet asked Allah, after covering this family's members with a Yemeni cloak, to remove impurity from them and keep them thoroughly pure. The previous verses from Surat Al-Ensan show us the humanity of these family members who gave priority to the poor , the orphan, and the captive and gave them their shares for the sake of Allah. This learns us that the real transcendence comes from spiritual and moral transcendence and tells us that honor can be achieved through faith, moral and spiritual transcendence, spiritual commitment to worshiping Allah, and remaining on a right course. Despite Fatima's high position of spirituality, and status as the mistress of the women of the believers and of the worlds, she lived a normal life and fulfilled her responsibilities in her house and toward her husband. She did not become a carefree woman and never said," I'm the Mistress of the Women of Believers, why should I be burdened with baking bread, preparing food, sweeping the house, and cleaning?!"
That did not prevent her from fulfilling her household duties that included preparing food, baking bread, sweeping the house, cleaning, and taking care of her children's needs. All these were among her responsibilities. Above all, she was responsible for educating her children Al-Hasan, and Al-Hussein. There is a great lesson for us in that. She lived a normal live and passed through tough times and good times, good conditions and bad conditions. The cost of her wedding was not huge nor was the cost of the wedding feast. Everything was modest. Many lessons can be learned from this? At the family and social level, too many social lessons can be taken from the life of this family, the life of the prophet, and his relationship with his wives " Mothers of the Believers ", with his daughter Fatima, and with this family, the members of which were Fatima, Ali, Al-Hasan, and Al-Hussein. As Muslims, we need these lessons that help us to observe our values, principles, and virtues and achieve transcendence. They also help us to bear the burdens of life and face challenges associated with the confrontation between us and enemies.
In today's battle, we need to promote our principles and values because remaining steadfast in sticking to principles and moral values is what can keep the nation steadfast even in the face of a military battle or all other forms of confrontation with its enemies. If the society abandoned its values and morals; if its enemies succeeded in having influence on its thinking and spirit and in affecting its values and morals, the society would become an easy target that is subject to humiliation, slavery, and oppression and end up under the full control of its enemies.
One of the most important lessons we have to pay attention to is the need to make what Islam presents our balance to evaluate how we should be in our reality, from the family level to the society level. Our society should be based on these principles, values, and morals and become a united society in which family ties are strong , which would contribute to the unity of the whole society and make it act in accordance to these principles and great values.
Enemies' destroying efforts are targeted at the structure of this society. They seek to spear fragmentation and conflicts among every single family, using different banners that have been in use since the beginning of the aggression and even before - maybe now they focus on using these banners more than any time before the aggression.
Enemies work on stirring up sectarian, provincial, and racial strife among our Yemeni society, where they start with sowing the seeds of racial strife, provoking racial strife and incitement between this group and that one, or this race and that race (this one is from Qahtanites and that one from Adnanites). Stirring up such issues is an act that belongs to the Time of Ignorance and has nothing to do with Islam, which came to unite the human family unit- the family of Adam. Islam came to say, "People, have fear of your Lord who has created you from a single soul." You are one family, a big family called the humans, the children of Adam. "O people" means we are from the same family and from the same soul, "People, have fear of your Lord who has created you from a single soul. From it He created your spouse." You are one family. The children of Adam are from a big family that extended and scattered across this earth and were created you from a single soul - our father Adam. Therefore, remember that you are from the same family and were created from a single soul.
Do not stir up animosity among yourselves. Do not hate or fight one another. When some seek to stir up racial strife and devote a considerable amount of effort to achieve that, their work doesn’t differ from the work of Saitan, who stirs up animosity between people and conducts such an act out of hatred and animosity he bears towards humans.
Some persons, even from Takefiri groups, are using this banner, which is of un-Islamic nature. Stirring up racial strife( Qahtanites, Adnanites, Banu Hashim, etc.)has nothing to do with Islam and belongs to the Time of Ignorance .
Islam raises us in a spirit of brotherhood: 'hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided', 'The believers are nothing else than brothers.' It strengthens the bond of humanity and brotherhood. Faith makes us brothers. On what basis would some sow the seeds of hatred and division?!In Islam, it is prohibited to make enemies with others on account of their race or ethnic origin. Islam came to unite not to make division; its values and teachings go in this direction.
Enemies' effort is aimed at spreading division among us to increase their chance in controlling us. When we talk about Imam Ali, Al-Hasan, Al-Hussein, and Fatima, we are not committing a racist act because they were of a humanitarian and spiritual value. And when we mention Banu Hashim, we have to take into consideration that there is no honor in being a descendant from Banu Hashim without the existence of faith, God-fearing, righteousness, good manners, and remaining on a right course.
It is not acceptable for a person to treat others arrogantly because of his/her being a descendant from Banu Hashim. Without the existence of faith and righteousness, this descending is nothing to count on and could be the source of greater sins for that person because the real value of a person depends on his/her position of spirituality, morality, and humanity, the achieving of which is not beyond the reach of all men and women.
Deserving Allah's Paradise depends on good deeds. A human being can raise to a high level through his/her faith and good deeds because the real transcendence in the sight of Allah can only be achieved through faith, good morals, and principles that Allah called for. This is what can achieve transcendence for a person and raise him/her to a high position with Allah.
Therefore, stirring up racial strife is of un-Islamic nature and an evil work that aims to spread division among the Yemeni people who- in response to their religious duty and national interest- have to unite and maintain national cohesion. The people of this nation from all tribes should be of one unity and become a united nation that holds firmly to the rope of Allah all together as brothers and sisters based on religious brotherhood, whose bonds are the strongest and greatest bonds.
There is no need for a person to mock, despise, be arrogant to anyone, or provoke incitement against this group or that one. And any person who commits such an act should only be seen by the Yemeni people as a person who is related to Saitan and in contravention of Allah's instructions and commands. This kind of person wants to increase division and conflicts among this nation so that enemies can dominate the whole nation with the slightest effort.
At the sectarian level, a considerable amount of effort is being done especially by takfirists, who accuse this nation of Zoroastrianism, Rafidhism, and apostasy and encourage the killing of the people of this nation. They are the most involved in stirring up sectarian tensions and have a bad worldwide reputation.
Stirring up regional strife is a weird and disgusting thing. They provoke Taiz's sons against the sons of Sana'a and the sons of the southern areas against the sons of the northern governorates. This is how they work from this province to that one and from this area to that area. They want the sons of this area to hate the sons of that area, why? Because they aren’t from the same area! Most of those who engage in such efforts are from the corrupted party, "Al-Islah Party". What kind of a religion is this? What kind of a denomination that brings you up to hate a person because he/she is not from your area?! This is nothing less than the work of Saitan . Enemies seek to spread division among this nation. Those who stick to such sectarian and provincial banners are bankrupt. They have no cause to fight for or to unite people's hearts, and this is why they tend to invent some pretext to attract people. They don’t have a right or just cause that can persuade people like and therefore they move under such flimsy pretexts.
It's all about using banners to spread division and make great political gains. This is what the enemies of the Muslim nation is doing with these banners to attract people and use them to achieve secret goals.
When the Emirati regime, known for its major part in the aggression against our people, sought to occupy the southern governorates, it used this tune to its advantage- the tune of regional-based incitement. But, did this regime seek to benefit the people of southern governorates? No, it came up with a new policy as soon as it gained control. This regime use these local components to its advantage and doesn’t want any good for them, and even doesn’t give a shit about such a banner but use it. This means it doesn’t intend to empower or serve them. How is the situation in the southern governorates? The economic and security conditions? The overall situation is a very poor situation- oppression, humiliation, subjugation. What is the United Arab Emirates committing in its prisons? And how does the UAE treat detainees from the south or other parts?
The matter is nothing more than using banners. The Saudi regime is no exception, both regimes are working on the same agenda under the supervision of America and as part of its coalition, as well as engaging in America's activities in the region. The way in which the Saudi regime is manipulating banners and using them is a really peculiar way.
Anyone would be amazed at the hypocrisy of the Saudi regime, as well as the Emirati regime, - connecting with an ISIS-affiliated person who says he wants to establish an Islamic state to tell him that," Here is the field and here is the needed support. Start a fight against this nation." It provides him with weapons, money, and cover and creates an appropriate environment for him.
And then comes the turn of this secular person who says, " I don’t want a religious state, I want a non-religious state." The Saudi regime responds," You're welcome, I will support you with money and weapons and make the best environment for you provided that you fight a battle against this nation." It supports him as it does support the person who says he wants to establish an Islamic state based on his misguided, catastrophic, mistaken perception.
It comes to this person to whom religion is the least of his concerns and who has a tendency towards dissoluteness and immorality and provides him with the needed money for buying weapons and wine and for operating expenses needed for brothels. And it comes to a person who pretends to have a tendency towards religion and provides him with money for giving a religious seminar. The regime provides the two different sides with money for a glass of wine and a book on religion; or for a religious seminar against the so-called Rawafidh and such other names I am not familiar with (to accuse the Muslim nation of apostasy) and for a sex party. This regime uses every pretext even when it tries to stir up a racial strife. It invites some persons from Banu Hashim to Riyadh and tell them, " We are not against Banu Hashim. We are the ones who supported the House of Hameed Al-Deen. We will support you, too." At the same time, it pays money for some people to launch a campaign against all those descended from Banu Hashim, sparing no one.
All they care about is using banners to their advantage but the battle goes into another direction. They support this person who says," I want unity and I will fight for it," and provide him with weapons and money. At the same time, they come to the opposite person who says, " I call for separation," and provide him with weapons, money, and media coverage, etc. But why? To the Saudis and Emiratis, it is nothing more than waving some vain banners that can be used to justify for treason and mercenary activities. It is a battle that is intended to subjugate the Yemeni people to foreign control. It is a battle that is aimed at spreading division among Yemenis so that they can't have a united stance that ensures their freedom, independence, and dignity. It is all about vain banners- " the Republican Guards", "Unity Supporters", "Supporters of Separation", Sunni Muslims against Rawafidh and adherents of Zoroastrianism, etc.- regardless how big they may look. This battle has been set to benefit foreign forces and enable them to have control over our country and people, and to make our people lose their freedom, independence, and dignity. Our dear people, for centuries no racial issues or sectarian conflicts have emerged among us; Zaidis and others from Shafei community have always been acting like brothers and living in harmony across history. In the face of this battle, we need to advance the interest of our country and people and to respond to our religious duties by standing in the way of any racial strife that only morally bankrupt people depend on. We are one nation that Allah honoured by Islam and making it the land of faith and wisdom. Yemen enjoys a bright history; its present and future will be bright, too, Allah's willing.
Nobody but hypocrites and Saitan would do what the Saudi regime is doing to spread division among our people. When I see this regime using all these banners - "Unity", " Independence", "Religion"," Immorality"," Secularism"- ,I become of more faith in Allah's saying, "Surely the hypocrites are in the lowest stage of the fire." All these banners are being raised for the purpose of achieving an untold goal. The Hell is the destiny these hypocrites deserve.
The real threat is posed by enemies of the Muslim nation and their proxies who spare no effort to target us in our religion, freedom, dependence, and dignity.
Finally, let's briefly talk about the current situation after reaching the Sweden Agreement. Of course, an agreement has been reached, as well as some understandings that could provide the basis for moving forward. We reached an agreement on Hodeidah and captives. In addition, we come to initial understandings on economy and Taiz Governorate. However, since the return of our national delegation, we have witnessed a lack of progress in implementing these agreements. The agreement on Hodeidah has not been implemented due to the enemies' stalling in implementing the agreement and their attempts to evade the agreement.
Time and time again, we expressed our readiness to implement the first phase of this agreement and move to the second phase and even be the one who takes the first step - by the way we started in Hodeidah Seaport. We also asked the UN to verify this step and start doing what's expected from them so that we can make similar progress in Ras Isa and Salif ports. We even reiterated our offer yesterday and the day before yesterday. Over all the past days, the national team's representatives on the Redeployment Coordination Committee expressed our readiness to implement the first step but they were asked to wait until an understanding is reached with the other side, which keeps stalling in implementing the agreement for the purpose of evading it, this is the truth that must be clear. The other side doesn’t pay any attention to the interest of the Yemeni people and Hodeidah residents in particular; all the other side cares about is its own ambitions. During the past period, the enemy faced many military difficulties and other issues that affected its reputation at the global level due to its shameful record that became known in the Western world and among the peoples there and became among the critical issues of discussion between the opposition parties and governments in the Western world, including the US, UK, and Europe, where criticism has been sharpened of the coalition over its brutal crimes in Yemen and the massacre of Hodeidah. This pushed the enemy to agree to negotiate for an agreement. Today, it bears responsibility because it is stalling in implementing the agreement. We reiterate our readiness to implement and even be the one who starts implementing the first phase.
With regard to the UAE, I advise them not to return to their military escalation. Of course, if they return, we know our responsibilities and what we have to do. This includes many options that I prefer not to speak about. With regard to the war prisoners, we have reached an agreement that calls for the release of all war prisoners but they are stalling in the implementation. In an attempt to break the deadlock, we called for the war prisoners to be released in groups; they agreed to that but they keep stalling. They are the ones who completely prevent making any progress in the economy. In spite of that, we express our readiness to reach an agreement that stresses the importance of stabilizing the economy for the sake of the Yemeni people's interest. Their practices and policies show their indifference towards the interest of the Yemeni people and prove that they are the enemies of this nation. With respect to the agreement on Taiz, we are ready too. However, they, who were claiming there is a siege imposed on Taiz, are still stalling.
Anyway, we are ready for peace with honor. But in response to the ongoing escalation seen on the border and in some governorates, areas, and military fronts; the aerial escalation; and the continued practices aimed at disturbing the Yemeni economy, we ,as well as every free person in this nation, must be eyed-wide and awake, continually work on strengthening the state of resilience and steadfastness, and stand up against all tensions and evil efforts aimed at spreading division among our Muslim Yemeni society.
May Allah guide us all to what pleases Him, grant us victory, have mercy on our martyrs, grant a speedy recovery to the wounded, and set our captives free. Verily! Allah is indeed the All-Hearer of invocations.
Peace be upon you along with Allah's mercy and blessings.
