Speech by Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi
on the Anniversary of the Martyr Leader

I welcome you all, especially the esteemed scholars. I welcome all the attendees, and may Allah magnify our and your rewards on this painful and sorrowful anniversary.

I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan, the outcast.

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth, and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, Messenger, and Last Prophet.

O Allah, confer Your salat and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad as You conferred Your salat and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad's good companions and all Your righteous servants and mujahidin.

Present brothers, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Allah (Glory be to Him) says in the Holy Quran, {‘We certainly grant victory to Our messengers and the believers, in this worldly life and on the day the witnesses will stand forth, the day when the wrongdoers’ excuses will be of no benefit to them. They will be condemned and will have the worst abode’}. Allah, the Most High, the Almighty, speaks the truth.

On this day of this month (the twenty-sixth of Rajab), twenty years ago, the Martyr of the Quran, Al-Sayyid Hussein bin Badruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah be pleased with him) ascended as a blessed and triumphant martyr, in an unjust and oppressive aggression by the oppressive authority at the time and for the sake of pleasing and drawing closer to America. That aggression lasted nearly three months, except for four days, and enjoyed American supervision and instigation. This was the first war and was followed by endless and successive wars against the Quranic project led by the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him). The first war was aggressive, criminal, brutal, arrogant, oppressive, and unjust in its nature. It was an aggression in every sense of the word, with no justification or legitimacy. So what did the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) do for them to launch such a war against him, target him with that aggression, and seek to kill him?

The issue was all about that he moved forward with a Quranic project to remind people of the book of Allah (the Almighty) and to present a Quranic vision guiding and directing the Ummah on how to confront the imminent danger it faced in the wake of the American, Israeli, and Western attack that followed the events of September 11—those events themselves were a Zionist fabrication intended to serve as a major pretext for implementing a new phase of their conspiracies aimed at gaining direct control over Muslims, distorting their identity, occupying their countries, and plundering their wealth and resources.

He moved forward with a Quranic project and took practical steps based on that Quranic project, the first of which was the slogan—the chant against America and Israel (the scream in the face of the arrogant)—which is composed of clear phrases:

Allah is Greater

Death to America

Death to Israel
Curse upon the Jews

Victory to Islam

This chant and this scream in the face of the arrogant aims to break the barrier of silence, to prevent the muzzling of voices, and to move people from a state of surrender to taking a position. It also aims to safeguard them against obedience and allegiance to their enemies, to uplift them psychologically and mentally, and to prepare them for the greater positions incumbent upon them to take owing to their religion and their affiliation to Islam and the Quran.

Along with the slogan, there was the boycott of American and Israeli goods, which holds great significance in the economic confrontation. This is due to the benefits that the enemies derive from their products that invade markets in our Arab and Islamic countries, generating billions of dollars that are entirely used in aggression against our Ummah and targeting our peoples.

This was accompanied by raising Quranic awareness; exposing and unveiling American, Israeli, and Western conspiracies; and fortifying our Islamic society against deception and manipulation, as well as against being an easy-to-control society. This also included presenting practical Quranic solutions that elevate the Ummah to the level of confronting its enemies and standing up to their conspiracies.

At the time, the prevailing position of most Arab regimes, leaders, and governments, as well as others in the Islamic world, in the face of that dangerous targeting was surrender, aligning with America, accepting what it imposed in all fields, and lack of counteraction and opposition to the American-Israeli-Western aggression. This was also accompanied by the escalation of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. What the Arabs offered at the time was only what they called peace initiatives, which represented surrender in every sense of the word.

This is not to mention the orientations and policies adopted by governments and regimes, which were characterized by subservience to America and opening the field for it to tighten its control over the peoples of the Ummah.

  • At the military level, that was manifested through military bases and control over armies.
  • At the economic level, that was manifested through complying with the dictates of the Americans, which hindered any economic progress and rather created economic crises. At the same time, they obstructed any serious efforts towards production and worked on plundering and monopolizing the wealth of peoples.
  • At the security level, that was manifested through unleashing Takfiris upon peoples, spreading crime in all its forms and types, and fueling strife among the members of society.
  • At the political level, that was manifested through investing in political problems, creating a crisis-ridden reality, and causing social fragmentation through the production of more and more political divisions and disputes, as well as fueling conflicts under various pretexts: regional, ethnic, sectarian, and other pretexts that prevented any political stability.
  • At the cultural and intellectual level, that was manifested through targeting the Ummah at that level to mislead it, distort its awareness, and obliterate its identity through their control over educational curricula and even the entire educational process in all its stages. They also controlled the administrative and teaching staff and prevented any educational activities that did not align with their orientations. Furthermore, they sought to control religious rhetoric, mosques, media, and various educational activities. All of this was aimed at occupying the mind and achieving complete control over individuals by controlling their thinking, culture, convictions, and consequently their attitudes.
  • At the moral level, that was manifested in their fierce war on morals and values. They relentlessly targeted chastity, honour, and integrity and spread moral corruption, vice, crimes, and evils, along with everything that facilitated and paved the way for that. Those included immodesty, chaos in social mixing, chaos in relationships and prohibited connections outside of marital bonds, alcohol consumption, drug use, and more. Their aim was to dismantle the social structure, starting with the foundational unit (the family) and to spread deadly diseases, such as AIDS.
  • This also included the control over the judiciary, preventing it from fulfilling its fundamental role in achieving justice, transforming it solely into a tool of America, turning security apparatuses into instruments of oppression solely in the hands of America, and using prisons as detention centers under its control.

This was the kind of programme America sought in our country and is currently implementing in the Islamic arena. The American targeting is absolute evil—absolute evil in every sense of the word. It holds no good for our peoples, nor any benefit for our Ummah. That is why the policy of governments and rulers, in empowering it instead of hindering it, is not protective of the peoples nor in their interest. It leads to nothing but tempting and empowering others and fueling their ambitions. And for the peoples to remain stagnant and submissive to that is not in their best interest, nor is consistent with their identity and belonging. The result is an ultimate loss in both this life and the Hereafter. Therefore, the Quranic project was a necessity in every sense of the word, and it was for the benefit of the Ummah.

So Al-Sayyid Hussein Badruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah be pleased with him) moved forward with the Quranic project in the face of that American-Israeli-Jewish targeting. It is a movement that is based on a Quranic and faith-based standpoint, embodying the correct position and wise vision. It is a movement for the benefit of the Ummah and its salvation. It was directed clearly against its enemies. Even so, in relation to the practical steps, he paid attention to the following:

  • not to provide any justification for the enemies, neither for the Americans nor for their proxies;
  • to at the same time seek through those practical steps to expose them in the titles they boasted about, such as the title of freedom (including freedom of expression and freedom of speech), democracy, human rights, and other such titles—these practical steps were also purposeful steps aimed at fortifying society against their infiltration, as they wanted to gain its allegiance and to make it accept them, their control, and all programmes and schemes they used to target it in various forms;
  • and to ensure that they are simplified, uncomplicated, and accessible to people—and they were so.

Also, the slogan exposed the Americans and their proxies in what they boasted about regarding freedom of expression: They could not bear this slogan, which consisted of five phrases people chanted, even though freedom was among the titles the Americans heavily focused on to deceive our people with; they were exposed. The slogan exposed the fundamental titles they used in order to deceive our societies in the Arab world and other Muslim countries. In the face of five phrases against which they used all forms of attacks (as more details will come), where was that freedom? Where was that democracy? Where was the long and extensive list of rights?

Moreover, the step of boycotting American and Israeli goods exposed them, as well as the awareness-raising efforts to spread the Quranic culture. All those steps were legally and constitutionally guaranteed at the time, and there was no justification for targeting those steps with all forms of attacks.

All of that was an exposure for the Americans and those who stood behind them: an exposure for the Americans, the Zionist Jewish lobby that derives them, and their proxies, too. At the same time, it served as a source of protection for society, as it fuels the feelings of enmity and opposition in society towards the Americans, immunizing it against accepting whatever comes from them. It instills a high level of vigilance, attentiveness, and focus among society, redirecting its attention towards their conspiracies and schemes and prompting it to remain alert and cautious in dealing with them and to stand up to them. It also protects the Ummah from loyalty to them and from being easy for them to control, which the enemies rely on as essential means to control the Ummah. They want our Islamic Ummah as a whole to be subjugated and obedient to them, to accept their control, and completely submit to them even at the expense of its religion, values, and principles. They want it to neglect the instructions of Allah, the Holy Quran, and everything else for their sake.

The slogan and these three steps had a real and tangible impact on those who moved on this path. They were distinct in their awareness, their attentiveness, their serious position against American hegemony, and their boldness. They were also distinct for getting rid of the state of inertia, surrender, submission, and silence and the state that was influential or firmly controlling some due to fear, intimidation, despair, weakness, and hopelessness and controlling others due to greed, inclinations, and the disease in the hearts that led some to show allegiance to the enemies of the Ummah.

The targeting steps that were under American supervision against the Quranic project and its practical steps started with arrests. There were arrests in Saada province, in Imam Al-Hadi Mosque and in other places. In the Great Mosque , the arrests continued until the first war began. The arrests were one of the means that they used to fight the Quranic project, those affiliated with this project, and those actively involved in it, arbitrary arrests, job terminations, media propaganda warfare, closure of some schools where they had failed to silence this voice, and the launch of smear campaigns among society through propaganda and heinous, terrifying accusations. However, they failed, despite the fact that they filled prisons, especially the prisons of Political Security Office at the time, with the Mukabirin, which was the name those who chanted the slogan and operated within the framework of this Quranic position were known by, as they were called as 'the Mukabirin' back then. The prisons of Political Security Office were filled with them because they chanted this slogan and did not follow what America desired: to have the arena without any opposing movement against its conspiracies and the destructive, catastrophic programme targeting the peoples of our Ummah.

After failing to silence this voice, which was growing and spreading to other regions and provinces, they resorted to a military aggression, targeting the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) at his home in Marran area of Haydan district, Saada province. They launched a large-scale military campaign with a huge army towards Marran, targeting it and the surrounding areas as a primary objective of the operation. They also aimed to target other regions where there was significant and widespread activity within the framework of this Quranic project, such as Nushur area in Hamdan and other areas in Hamdan, as well as in Al-Saifi and several areas in Khawlan Amer and other areas.

When faced with that war and the massive attack at the time, the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) did not have any military formation, nor did he have an organized army or military capabilities. There were no arrangements in place for a military situation. The attack carried out by the authority was primarily targeting residents in their homes and villages. This means that it was not an attack because there was an army or what they repeatedly claimed as 'militias'. As there were no militias or organized army forces, and none of that existed, the war was targeting the villages and homes, and the military targets were the homes themselves. The house of the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) was a military target. Various other houses that belonged to this or that one, the mosque in that village, and the school in this village, and that village as whole and with all its houses were military targets to that attack, war, and aggression!

The attack launched by the authority actually targeted the residents and citizens in their homes and villages with utter brutality, using all types of weapons: aerial weapons, including all types of fighter jets and helicopters, which participated in their oppressive assault from the first day, and ground weapons, such as missiles, tanks, and artillery—all types of weapons. This is not to mention the use of total destruction, the thousands of advancing soldiers, and the total siege that was imposed to prevent the entry of food and medicine, not even a single grain of wheat or a single pill of medicine into Marran.

That was the case until the martyrdom of the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) along with over two hundred martyrs. The Americans and their proxies then believed that by their aggression, by killing the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) and those martyrs with him, and by imprisoning hundreds, they succeeded in eliminating the Quranic project.

However, the Quranic project continued despite the endless wars. After the first war, there were successive wars, including the second war they waged to target the faqih of the Quran and great Islamic scholar, Al-Sayyid Badruddin bin Amiruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah be pleased with him) due to his role, status, and influence in furthering this Quranic project. He was the mentor and teacher. They failed to kill him despite their explicit attempts to do so, although he was one of the renowned scholars of the country and among the prominent scholars of the Islamic world and although he was old in age. They showed no respect for his esteemed position or for the scholarly status he attained at the level of the Islamic world, nor did they have any regard for his old age, illness, and health condition. The situation he lived in was a stable one, as he was residing in the Nushur area, not in a state of war against them. There was a truce after the first war in Nushur, and they failed to kill him at the time, but the wars continued thereafter.

The aggressive practices persisted through six full-scale wars, under American supervision and cover, with declared regional support and significant media blackout, and even with distortion of the true image regarding the reasons behind those wars. All of them were marked by criminality. All the crimes our people witnessed during the period of the American-Saudi aggression on our country over nine years (including the killing of children and women, targeting of civilian residents in their homes, destruction of mosques and houses, blockade, and all forms of criminality) were practices used by the aggressors during the six wars. There are still many video recordings that have documented examples of those crimes and tragedies that caused immense suffering throughout those stages.

Despite all of that and despite the successive wars and the criminal approach in targeting and combating the Quranic project through killing, destruction, torture, persecution, imprisonment, media distortion, false propaganda, terrible accusations, all forms of warfare, total blockade, and all forms of deprivation, the astonishing paradox that was indeed one of Allah’s signs and a clear indication of the greatness of the Quranic project was that whenever it was fought against, it grew stronger and more empowered. The clear leaps between each war, from the third war to the sixth and from then until today were significant leaps that saw great victories and were accompanied by a clear manifestation of the truth, as the war waged through propaganda, false accusations, and distortion against the Quranic project was a massive war and still continues. Indeed, it still continues to this day, with deliberate concealment of facts, dissemination of a false image, media defamation, and propaganda in all forms. However, the leaps in achieving divine victories and empowerment, as well as the clear manifestation of the truth, have continued. This is one of the manifestations of the blessed verse, {‘Remember when you had been vastly outnumbered and oppressed in the land, constantly in fear of attacks by your enemy, then He sheltered you, strengthened you with His help, and provided you with good things so perhaps you would be thankful’}. The one who visits Marran nowadays or visits the areas that witnessed major events, such as Dhayan, Bani Mo'adh, Hamdan, and many other regions, as well as Sufyan and Khawlan Amer in general, most areas in Saada Province, Al-Salem, and other areas that witnessed intense events (the context is not exclusive to what is mentioned), contemplating the nature of these events, what happened, what the participants in this Quranic project suffered, the challenges they faced, and the great victories they achieved despite all that, he clearly observes the manifestations of this blessed verse, {‘Remember when you had been vastly outnumbered and oppressed in the land, constantly in fear of attacks by your enemy.’}

In all six wars, the Quranic project moved forward without any external support. Most of those who embarked on this Quranic project were of the weakest individuals in terms of capabilities. They were from the members of our Yemeni society, who suffer from poverty, destitution, and extremely difficult circumstances. There was also no external agenda for this Quranic project so that it may aim to serve the interests of a particular state here or there, or any external side. Rather, it was a self-embraced movement rooted in the belonging of our Yemeni people to faith, to the faith-based identity, and to the Islamic affiliation. It was a genuine and legitimate movement, not driven by falsehood, corruption, or anything that could harm this country and its people. It was a movement based on truth because it was based on the Holy Quran and the teachings of Allah (Glory be to Him) and represented an absolute necessity. There was a need and necessity for this movement; it was not a frivolous movement aimed at causing problems or mere noise in the air that had no purpose or value. The Ummah in general and our people in particular were subject to that kind of very huge targeting by the enemies of this Ummah. It was our religious, human, and moral duty to take action because it was the kind of targeting directed against all of us, the entire Ummah, and our entire people. This Quranic movement was not directed against anyone from within this Ummah. It was clear in identifying who the enemy is: America and Israel, the Jews and the Christians, and the Jewish lobby and those who were closely associated with it. This project was not based on racism, sectarianism, nor regionalism, and there was no justification whatsoever for targeting it.

This Quranic project originates from the Holy Quran, from the Fair Word that all Muslims believe in. No person can express or affirm his affiliation with Islam unless he acknowledges his faith in the Holy Quran. This vision is based on the principles of this Ummah, the Islamic principles, the principles of Islam, and its values. And it strives to embrace the causes of this Ummah, what concerns it, foremost among them is the Palestinian cause.

Despite all the distortion against this Quranic project, between waging war against it in all forms (at the military level, at the security level, through propaganda and media defamation, and at the cultural level—all forms of war) and the attempts to underestimate it, mock it, ridicule it, diminish its value, deter from it, disdain it, and disrupt its intentions and objectives, this Quranic project—by the grace, help and support of Allah (the Almighty)—has proven to be a successful project. It has been proved in reality (with Allah's help and support) that it is a successful, important, and necessary project and benefits the Ummah. Clear successes have been achieved to a large extent.

In fact, this project clearly originates from the affiliation and identity of this people. There is nothing suspicious or concerning about this project, nor does one see it as inconsistent with the affiliation or identity of this people. It is not a project that is alien to this Ummah or the Holy Quran. It is a position against the enemies of this Ummah, reflects dissociation from them and enmity towards the real evident enemies, and represents a practical action to build up the Ummah's awareness, culture, political reality, economic reality, and military reality, as well as all fields in its reality, in order to rise to the level of confronting its enemies. Therefore, it is a project that perfectly aligns with the identity of this people because it originates from their affiliation of faith and is not strange or alien to them, not like those other projects that were used to target our people while being clearly alien to this people and not aligning with their identity, values, or principles—they were clearly alien to this people. As for this project, it is a self-embraced project; thus, our dear people have embarked on it in an effective way, taking a clear position against the real, evident enemies of the Ummah. In their movement, our people adopt the grand causes of the Ummah (foremost among them is the Palestinian cause) with awareness, insight, and a strong sense of responsibility.

When we reflect on the events from that day to the present day, we find that the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) embarked for three years, even short of full three years, since the beginning of the project, and then the enemies hastily mobilized to confront it, attempting to terminate this project by targeting him and seeking to kill him. Before him even finishing three years of moving forward with this project, the fierce wars and the extremely incredible efforts took place. The Americans mobilized others, who (driven by foolishness, misguidance, and injustice) diligently endeavoured to terminate this project and silence its voice. Nevertheless, this project has remained successful to this day.

When we contemplate the alternative options, we realize the importance of this project, its significant positivity, and its tremendous success. The enemies—America, Israel, and Britian, who are the arms of the octopus of evil, injustice, and tyranny, which is the Jewish Lobby that carries the flag of Shaytan and moves in a way that is an extent to the agenda of Shaytan in targeting human society and display enmity towards Islam and Muslims—do not move with momentary, ordinary positions but with action plans, so the confrontation with them is not a temporary encounter. Our Ummah has been targeted for centuries by its enemies, from Jews and Christians, from infidels, from others; and the reality of the Jewish lobby, which carries the flag of Shaytan, has developed as it has been able to control Western societies and employ the capabilities and abilities of the countries there, with America at the forefront, to serve itself. And it went to implant Israel (a dangerous, bad, and criminal enemy) in the side of our Islamic Ummah and the Arab world, seeking major goals. So the issue goes beyond what some imagine. In fact, some individuals do not even consider these matters at all; they barely realize what the enemies are actually doing. However, some people view the enemies' agenda, conspiracies, and projects as transient events: At a certain stage, the Americans feel a tashoupah , as expressed locally, to target this country, to occupy that country, or to address a problem as if it were a newly emerged problem here or there. The enemies have strategic plans, and this is a well-known matter in modern history; however, this has been absent from educational curricula and media outlets. There are agreements, plans, programmes, activities, decisions, policies, and studies based on which the enemies operate in consecutive stages and successive steps in order to achieve their ultimate goal: complete control over our Islamic Ummah and the ultimate eradication of Islam so that the Ummah does not move according to it nor rise based on its teachings and great project in life.

The Zionist Jewish lobby sees no real obstacles in the way of its devilish, criminal goals—as it spreads corruption on the earth, practices oppression, corruption, and enslavement, subjugates people, and commits crimes—except Islam. For it, all other projects and titles can be dealt with, except for Islam in its true reality, the true Quranic Islam, not the counterfeit one that is subjected to distortion and forgery by the enemies' proxies. It fears the world of Islam and Muslims. That is because it realizes that if Muslims return to their religion, their Quran, and the guidance of their Lord, they will receive the protection, support, and victory of Allah and will act upon the principles of Islam, its noble values, and its message, which is a great message of ethics, values, right, and justice and is capable of standing to the injustice, tyranny, criminality, and corruption of the allies of Shaytan, at the forefront of which is the Zionist Jewish Lobby. Therefore, it strives to target this Ummah, aiming to ensure complete control over it in all aspects: intellectually, culturally, and politically. It also seeks to create a reality that keeps the Ummah far away from any new renaissance: a weakened reality in which the people of this Ummah reach a terrible state of loss (the loss of principles, values, and ethics) and suffer from disunity, fragmentation, division, weakness, and scattering. Moreover, it seeks that they move like spoils for its sake, exploiting them for its plots and objectives. Even when it wants them to act under a religious title like jihad, it makes sure that they serve it, just as they did before in Afghanistan, for the sake of America against the Soviet Union, and so on.

The Americans are working according to projects, and so are Israel and Britain. The Jewish lobby is moving while carrying the flag of Shaytan with projects, goals, and long-term plans. This is not a matter of incidental clashes: They had a problem with Iraq, leading them to occupy it, but it is all about time before others intervene to reconcile between them and end the problem; and they had a problem with the Palestinians and are about to hold a peace conference and resolve that issue, or they had a disagreement with this country or that one as a result of a misunderstanding that will be resolved. No! There is a big agenda, big conspiracies, and long-term plans that the enemies are working on in an organized, chronic, sequential way, and they are achieving results after results to reach a certain level and certain goals. In the end, we may see the Islamic world—which is either one billion and eight hundred million, or two billion, or more—a weak world, with no weight. A handful of Zionist Jews have occupied the land of Palestine, and they are tormenting the Palestinian people, who are part of this Ummah. There are fifty countries and even more, with enormous material potentials and capabilities, and among them are countries with the highest oil production. The capabilities and potentials of these countries, this Ummah, are enormous, and the number is very large: The equation is that for every Jew in Palestine, there are more than one hundred and fifty thousand Muslims. Even so, they are unable to do anything. They inactively watch some of them, who embrace their religion and are part of them, being killed with all savagery and criminality. This is the kind of reality you see our Ummah experiencing today: It is a very large ummah with some of the most crucial geographical locations and enormous economic resources, and yet it is an Ummah that is shackled, weak, incapable, and ineffective, to the point that America terrifies most of its countries, its leaders, and its armies with a word of threat or warning, and to point that an Israeli warning to its leaders has the effect of terrifying them, causing their limbs tremble with fear, cowardice, and failure, and getting its armies, regimes, and peoples into a state of submission, confusion, inaction, and paralysis in the face of what their enemies target them with—this is the kind of reality the enemies are seeking, and they seek what is even worse. They seek that it becomes an ummah that fails in the face of any conspiracy that the enemies target it with. They target it under the label of terrorism and the like of labels, and many are the tragedies that happen inside this Ummah because of this conspiracy. They target it with a tool of theirs (the Takfiris and Al-Qaeda), so this Ummah suffers woes. Every time a conspiracy comes up, it finds a disturbed, weak, scattered, unimmunized, and vulnerable environment, so the conspiracies succeed and drag the Ummah into very great suffering, which also results in low levels of awareness, too. This is what the enemies are striving for.

So the matter of confronting the Zionist Jewish lobby and its arms, the arms of evil and crime, the trio of evil and criminality (America, Israel, and Britain) is not just a matter of taking a momentary position: A meeting takes place, concluded with a statement; then, people return to their homes, and that's all! Rather, there must be a continuous practical project that builds the Ummah, elevates it, changes its reality, addresses its weaknesses, fortifies it, and strengthens it in all fields. Thus, the Quranic project possessed this great merit as it stands face to face with projects made by the enemies and wide-ranging conspiracies. Therefore, throughout three years, the Martyr of the Quran (May Allah be pleased with him) delivered hundreds of lectures, speeches, meetings, and sessions in a detailed manner to expose the conspiracies and plans of the enemies, to evaluate them, uncover them, to strip them bare through the Holy Quran, facts, and events, as well as for the sake of presenting solutions and insights that would change the reality of this Ummah and elevate it so that it gets to a level of high awareness of the enemies' conspiracies and that it works within the framework of position, action, and work in mobilizing against its enemies, pushing away evil from itself, and preventing loss in both this world and the Hereafter. This is a great merit of the Quranic project.

Therefore, when we witness the significant difference today between the position that our dear people are taking towards the heinous, criminal, and extremely brutal aggression against Gaza—it is a horribly criminal aggression seen by the whole world. And people in the whole world acknowledge that it is a savage, very terrible aggression, but did they take a position? The peoples of our Islamic Ummah in the Arab world and elsewhere are hundreds of millions. Our Ummah is not small in number, nor is it weak in capabilities and potentials. If we were to gather only the numbers of Muslim armies in all Islamic countries, in the Arab region and elsewhere, what would the figure be? If we combined their capabilities, what would be the number of those aircraft, tanks, and various weapons and equipment they possess? What would be the potentials and resources of this Ummah as peoples, regimes, and governments, both officially and popularly? But where is the practical position they took? Despite our dear people enduring a nine-year-long aggression that is still ongoing till this day and being under siege, they have taken a distinctive position and comprehensive action.

Why don’t our dear people fear America? Most countries and regimes fear America, as it has threatened them, so they became fearful. Their fear has reached a point where they cannot take a dignified position or where they only take weak, feeble, limited positions that do not rise to the level of responsibility or meet what the tragedy in Palestine, especially in Gaza, requires. Why has this fear—which has paralyzed peoples that are larger in numbers than our own and that have more potential than our country—vanished from our country? Why has this fear disappeared from our people? Why do the children of our people (though they are just children) go out without feeling any fear of America, Israel, or Britain? When the American president himself or the leaders of the American army threaten and warn, it does not affect the millions of children in our people. In other words, if you tell a child that the American president has threatened, warned, and said something or that the leaders of the American army said this, nothing scares him, and he does not even care about it, let alone the millions of men in this country who act according to the Quranic faith-based perspective!

The prevailing situation in our country among men and women is characterized by high awareness and real interaction with events from the depths of their hearts and with all their conscience and feelings. It is this living conscience and these noble, human, faith-based feelings that make it incumbent upon this people not to inactively watch the tragedy of the Palestinian people in Gaza, to remain silent, or to take weak and feeble positions, as some do by merely issuing cold and insignificant statements. Even some of the major Arab regimes, including the largest ones, have not reached the level of clear, explicit condemnation of what Israel is doing. Previously, they used to issue condemnation statements, but so far, they have not even issued a statement of condemnation—even at this level, which is trivial and does nothing for the Palestinians.

The great leap that has been achieved in the reality of our people is that this people have put their trust in Allah, relied on Him, and found reassurance in the divine promise. When those of our people who act based on faith read the saying of Allah (the Almighty), {‘O you who have attained faith, if you support Allah, He will support you and strengthen your foothold’}, they look at America—as the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him) described it—as a straw, not even as a thick stick.

The Quranic culture, whose primary and foremost goal is to establish trust in Allah—trusting Allah (Glory be to Him), gaining pride from Him, being reassured of His promise of granting victory, and belittling all their enemies are what has led our people to this advanced level, this great position, and this courage that distinguishes them in confronting America and Israel. Through this spirit of faith, this Quranic culture, and this movement of faith and Quran, we have actually moved forward in confronting America, Israel, and Britain (the trio of evil and the octopus of the Zionist Jewish lobby) while having trust in Allah (Glory be to Him). In fact, we have the highest hope that we will be granted His victory, support, and assistance. Whenever we see the extent of their evil, their criminality, their tyranny, their corruption on the earth, their arrogance, and their heinous crimes, our hope becomes greater, and so does our trust in Allah's promise of victory.

This is the state of faith through which one can move forward while resolute in his choice, decisive in his decision in the true and sincere position that pleases Allah (Glory be to Him), ready to sacrifice and to offer oneself, wealth, and soul in the cause of Allah, and aware of his responsibility. He recognizes the importance, sanctity, and positivity of this responsibility and stands ready to sacrifice himself and others as martyrs. As we are in a sacred battle (the Battle of the Promised Victory and the Holy Jihad), we have complete trust in Allah's promise of victory. We are ready to sacrifice and confident of victory because this is what Allah (Glory be to Him) has promised. We recognize the value of taking this position and its importance for our true benefit in this world and the Hereafter, since a believer has two considerations to keep in mind: the consideration of this world and the consideration of the Hereafter. Not only does he focus on the calculations of this world, but he also considers the calculations of the Hereafter. His hopes are not solely directed towards what he can achieve in this worldly life.

The difference today is significant, and it proves the success and positivity of the Quranic project: It is a great and effective project. We have seen its impact in protecting the children of our dear people from loyalty to America. Instead of loyalty to America, they chant, ‘Death to America’. They know the ugliness of America, its conspiracies, its hostility, and its criminality. They view it through a Quranic eye, which is the true, accurate way to view it. They are not deceived by it and do not care about it; they do not accept its dominance, control, or influence.

Previously, throughout decades, American ambassadors in Sana'a took turns controlling the officials, starting from the president, who usually submitted to the American ambassador and obeyed him. This reached a stage where trusteeship over our country was officially declared. However, due to this Quranic project, America now has no trusteeship over us, no dominance over us, and no control over our decisions and positions. We are free in every sense of the word. We embody true freedom by our devotion to Allah (the Almighty) and our complete liberation from the dominance and interference of America in our affairs. Look at the reality of many Islamic countries. Are they free from America, its influence, its dominance, its interference in their affairs, and its control over them? We are free in the face of America, Israel, Britain, and others. The difference is significant.

In fact, the scream against the arrogant, from the initial stage when this scream was first chanted, despite the magnitude of weakness, difficult circumstances, and intense warfare—this scream is chanted today by millions. This scream and its echo has reached and been heard in different parts of the world and in the positions of liberation this people have taken, positions of pride, positions of dignity, and positions that align with the faith-based identity and originate from our dear people’s affiliation to faith.

This scream, which used to be the cause of imprisonment or even death to those who chanted it or carried it as a sticker—many were killed and martyred as a result of that—is cried out today when ballistic and winged missiles are launched because it is the result of this Quranic vision.

It is also cried out during the targeting with drones and while using various advanced weapons and military equipment, the strength that our dear people have reached and the effectiveness that Allah has bestowed upon them. It is cried out above American Abrams tanks, in the fields of honour, and in the fields of sacrifice and devotion. Today, the whole world understands what this scream means and what this project means. They understand that it is a liberation project in every sense of the word. Indeed, it achieves complete freedom, breaking free from American, Jewish, Israeli, and British subjugation and domination in a total manner. It separates you from being subordinate to your enemies on all levels: culturally, intellectually, politically, and in all fields. It places you in an honourable position as you face them without yielding or surrendering to them.

Considering the other options and attitudes (such as silence, inactivity, and surrender), what would happen if they prevailed in our country? Wouldn't our people's position in the face of what is happening in Gaza be like the positions of some countries whose voices are not heard, whose presence is not felt, and whose existence is not recognized (as if they were not alive, as if they were not on the map, as if they were not in this world)?

Surely, without this Quranic movement and project, without this culture, and without this faith-based movement of our dear people, everyone would have remained silent, observing events with fear and not daring to utter a word. At best, the position would have been a weak, meaningless statement, without taking any practical steps or actions. In fact, one would have seen some recruiting themselves—just like some mercenaries do in support of the enemies—with the Israelis and the Americans, justifying their crimes, serving them, acting as mouthpieces at the media level for their sake, or even moving at the military level.

How did the Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait become for the first time at this level of effectiveness and pressure on the enemies? What led America and Britain to engage in aggression against our country and get involved in a war against us, although it is not in the interest of their peoples or their countries? It is because they are tools in the hands of the Zionist Jewish lobby. Actually, their frustration is great because of the effectiveness and impact of our country's position in the Red Sea.

If the other options, such as servitude and betrayal, were what prevails in our country, would there be a position like this? No, absolutely not! There would be no honourable position, demonstrations, marches, or anything of that sort. That is because if the American agenda had been implemented, it would have got this country and its people to extremely serious levels. The Americans worked at a high pace and with significant interest, and they had their own tools and proxies. However, this Quranic project completely thwarted them at the level of this country. And the Quranic project now faces them on the global arena with honourable positions and correct orientations.

Therefore, today, our dear Muslim Yemeni people stand in a distinguished position, effectively support the oppressed Palestinian people, and engage in a comprehensive movement at all levels. They boldly confront the trio of evil (America, Israel, and Britain) with courage and steadfastness. Based on their affiliation to faith and the Quranic culture, they sacrifice martyrs, achieve victories, and boldly strike the enemies.

Today at dawn, bold strikes have been carried out against American and British ships—our people do not hesitate to do what they should do.

Such is the Quranic faith-based movement: It is a movement that is based on trust in Allah, reliance upon Him, adherence to His guidance, and striving for His cause; it is a conscious, practical, and principled movement where we rely on Allah (the Almighty) and His true promise of victory. Its fruit is tangible and evident in genuine liberation, honour, dignity, independence, effectiveness, impact, awareness, and strength building. It is the secret behind the resilience and steadfastness of our people and their high readiness for sacrifice.

 Therefore, on this occasion, such a leap and developments allow us to notice a great manifestation. And one of the manifestations of the divine promise in Allah’s saying, {‘We certainly grant victory to Our messengers and the believers, in this worldly life and on the day the witnesses will stand forth, the day when the wrongdoers’ excuses will be of no benefit to them. They will be condemned and will have the worst abode’}, is seen through the efforts of the Martyr Leader (May Allah be pleased with him), his scream, his sacrifice as a martyr in the cause of Allah, his immense suffering, and all forms of warfare and targeting directed against him, his Quranic project, and those affiliated to this project: We see that this project has triumphed. Its tangible, clear fruit is evident in the position, level , and effectiveness demonstrated by our dear people nowadays, in this stage, and in the face of these events.

Therefore, on this occasion, we reaffirm our steadfastness in our Quranic and principled position in supporting the Palestinian people and confronting the aggression against our country. Whatever the trio of evil does, it will not affect our position, nor diminish our capabilities and operations, by the will of Allah. And it will not break the will of our people.

Today, as we mentioned, American and British ships have been targeted (By Allah’s grace). The interesting thing we share with you as good tidings is that the Americans have currently resorted to camouflage tactics, similar to what the Israelis did. The Americans are trying to disguise their movement at sea. On their ships, they have hoisted the flag of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, an obscure country at the end of the world. They started evading at sea. This is their reality in the face of the Quranic faith-driven movement that is based on trust in Allah, reliance on Him, and reliance on His promise of victory and support.

I warn them and say to them that they must first stop their savage, brutal, criminal aggression against Gaza and that they must end their siege on the Palestinian people, depriving them of medicine and food in the Gaza Strip. Otherwise, we will seek to escalate further and further, relying on Allah (the Almighty) and confident in Him and His promise of victory. Sufficient is Allah as a guardian, and sufficient is Allah as a supporter.

Our dear people will continue all their activities within the framework of their right, honourable position—including military and general mobilization (which is among the most important activities), demonstrations, and events—and in all fields, with a special emphasis on the promotion of Quranic awareness and the dissemination of Quranic culture.
