Asghar Jahangir, Spokesman for Iran’s Judiciary, confirmed that 71 individuals were killed in the Israeli attack on Evin Prison in Tehran.

Jahangir described the assault as a "full-fledged crime", noting the severe impact on both the prison and the surrounding civilian areas.

He emphasized that residents living near the prison’s visitation and judicial buildings suffered significant material and physical damage.

Extensive financial, physical damage

“The Zionist attack inflicted extensive financial and physical damage on residents near the visitation hall and judicial building. Tragically, among those neighbors, we also have martyrs,” he indicated.

Jahangir explained that at the time of the attack, numerous families were present at Evin Prison for visitation or to attend legal matters concerning relatives.
