The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (Kan) said that the attacks launched by the Yemeni army on ships belonging to companies operating in the ports of occupied Palestine will impact the Israeli economy.
In a video report, the Israeli channel reviewed footage broadcast by the Yemeni army's military media documenting the targeting and sinking of the Magic Seas and Eternity Sea ships. Roi Kays, the channel's Arab affairs correspondent, said, "Economic damage will befall Israel if ships become afraid to dock in its ports." He added, "This is what the Houthis are seeking to achieve."
He said, "We recently saw what they did to air traffic, and now they are seeking to do the same at sea," referring to the air blockade imposed by the Yemeni army that forced foreign airlines to suspend operations at Ben Gurion Airport.
He continued, "The real question now is: What do we do?" “It seems that international deterrence has collapsed and sank, like these two ships.”
