The Central Bank of Yemen has announced the issuance of a new 50-Riyal coin, which will enter circulation starting today, Sunday, 18 Muharram 1447 AH, corresponding to July 13, 2025.
In a statement issued today, the Central Bank stated that the introduction of the new coin is part of its ongoing efforts to address the issue of damaged banknotes and to improve the quality of the national currency in circulation.
