Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, lauded the ongoing successes of the Yemeni Armed Forces in enhancing and modernizing their military capabilities to confront current challenges and thwart the objectives of Zionist aggression.

Al-Ra’i, in a joint meeting with the Parliament’s Presidium, the Labor Force Committee, and the General Secretariat, reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people. He emphasized that solidarity will continue until the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted. He also reiterated Yemen’s commitment to maritime security, explicitly excluding the Israeli entity.

The Parliament’s Presidium condemned what it described as contradictions in the statements of the UN Secretary-General and his envoy to Yemen, criticizing their disregard for the catastrophic situation in Gaza while instead focusing on Yemen’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause.

It strongly denounced the ongoing massacres committed by Israeli war criminals—with U.S. support—against the Palestinian people. These crimes include widespread killings, destruction, starvation, acts of terror, and violations of human rights and sacred sites, all unfolding under the watchful eye of the international community.

It also denounced the continued silence and inaction of Arab and Islamic governments, describing it as an unprecedented moral collapse in modern history.

The Presidium expressed pride in the achievements of the Yemeni Armed Forces in supporting the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, calling their role both impactful and strategically significant. The forces have imposed a new reality: Gaza’s security is now intertwined with that of Yemen and the broader region. This shift has altered the rules of engagement, wearing down the Israeli enemy and its backers, restoring Arab and Islamic dignity, and exposing the complicity of failed regimes.

The meeting also addressed internal parliamentary affairs and adopted the necessary resolutions. Based on proposals from the Presidium and the Labor Force Committee, the latter was assigned to study the referred issues and submit a detailed report accordingly.
