Students from the Higher Academy of the Holy Quran and its Sciences, in coordination with the Jihadi Culture Directorate in Al-Thawra district, organized a protest in Sana’a on Tuesday to denounce the ongoing genocide in Gaza and express unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The demonstrators praised the steadfastness of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and hailed the escalating operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces deep inside the occupied territories, viewing them as strong support for the Palestinian cause.
The rally called on Arab and Islamic universities, intellectuals, and educational institutions worldwide to take urgent and meaningful action in support of Gaza, warning against the dangers of silence in the face of crimes committed by the Israeli occupation with American backing.
A statement released during the protest reaffirmed support for the Yemeni military's fourth phase of the blockade against Israel, expressing full readiness to endure its consequences until the siege on Gaza is lifted and humanitarian aid reaches the people.
Participants urged Arab governments to open land crossings and break their silence, emphasizing their moral and historical responsibility to stand with the Palestinian people. They also called on scholars across the Islamic world to fulfill their religious duty by speaking out against injustice and rejecting complicity through silence.
The statement reiterated Yemen’s readiness to mobilize fighters in support of Gaza and encouraged public and academic efforts to promote the economic boycott of American and Israeli products, affirming Yemen’s position as a leading voice in championing just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian struggle.
