The Governor of Shabwa, Major General Awad al-Awlaki, strongly condemned the reception of an Israeli delegation in southern Yemeni provinces, describing the move as a “crime” that exposes the “betrayal and moral bankruptcy of mercenaries who have crossed all red lines.”

In a press statement on Monday, al-Awlaki affirmed that the people of Yemen’s southern and eastern regions categorically reject the Zionist desecration of Yemeni soil.

He explained that the delegation, which entered under the guise of journalism, was in fact an intelligence mission, stressing that such cover would not conceal the true objectives of the visit. He further noted that the move represents a blatant betrayal of the Palestinian cause, which Yemenis regard as their central issue.

The governor underscored that such “conspiracies” with the Israeli entity will not deter Yemen and its leadership from supporting the Palestinian people. He reiterated that the Yemeni people, across all factions, firmly reject any form of normalization or cooperation with the Israeli occupation.

The reported visit of an Israeli delegation to Aden comes amid increasing revelations of covert contacts between certain Yemeni factions and the entity. The development has drawn widespread condemnation from political, tribal, and popular circles in Yemen, who view it as part of a broader push to impose normalization with the Israeli entity in the region.
