Oman’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, on Saturday called on the international community and the countries that guaranteed the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip to pressure the Zionist entity to abide by its commitments with the Palestinian resistance regarding the entry of essential supplies and other necessities into the enclave.
In a post on the X platform, Sheikh Al-Khalili also urged Islamic nations and their peoples to immediately support their brothers in Gaza to prevent the Zionist enemy from carrying out its criminal schemes.
He said: “We are astonished by the Zionist enemy’s attempt to evade the agreement reached between them and the Palestinian resistance in the presence of several Arab and other countries.”
He pointed out that the Israeli enemy is acting contrary to the agreement, as it is “tightening the blockade on dear Gaza by preventing the entry of food and all essential supplies.”
The Omani Mufti added, “We remind the guarantor states of their responsibilities in this regard.”
Since October 8, 2023, the Zionist enemy, with American support, has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, resulting in more than 68,800 martyrs, over 170,000 wounded, 10,000 missing, and massive destruction of urban infrastructure, services, and institutions.
