Abyan Governor Salih Al-Janidi confirmed that the recent events in Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah reveal a Saudi-Emirati plot targeting the land, people, and resources in the occupied southern governorates.
Al-Janidi told the Yemen News Agency (SABA) that the occupying countries, which have previously destroyed the nation’s assets, disrupted refineries and ports, and looted resources, are now imposing their colonial agendas on Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah through local militias and extremist elements.
He emphasized that the ongoing clashes fueled by Saudi Arabia and the UAE have no connection to the legitimate southern cause, but are part of a fragmentation plan backed by the US and Israel.
He stressed that national issues cannot be resolved through collaboration, mercenarism, or assisting the enemy against the unity, independence, and territorial integrity of Yemen.
The governor warned of the dangerous consequences of the violence orchestrated and funded by the Saudi-Emirati occupation coalition, which threatens the social fabric and peace in the southern governorates, noting that these incidents are part of a ten-year-long conspiracy aimed at preparing the occupied regions for a prolonged internal conflict.
Al-Janidi condemned the criminal actions of UAE-affiliated militias in Hadhramaut, which targeted public and private properties in Seiyun and intimidated citizens based on their identities, highlighting that these violations reflect the occupiers’ hostility toward all Yemenis, including those in the southern and eastern governorates.
He called on all patriots in the southern governorates to remain vigilant and ready for the true liberation battle, which will eliminate all regional occupation tools across the southern and eastern governorates.
