Anyone who examines the trajectory of the United States since it first ventured beyond its borders will realize that this entity has never been content with its current boundaries, nor has it ever been secure in a tranquility devoid of expansionist ambitions or a tendency toward hegemony. American policy has been shaped by the premise that the world is an open scene, and everything within it is fair game if it clashes with American interests or threatens the myths of "leadership" it has bestowed upon itself. This fair game is not a mere coincidence, but rather an extension of numerous wars, imposed blockades, and invasions, all while plundering resources behind glittering slogans of "democracy" and "human rights."

In the American political mind, the world is divided into a center that has the right to decide the fates of others, and peripheries that must remain in a circle of weakness. This center is the United States itself, which sees its expansion as a “guarantee of peace,” its wars as a “necessity to protect its strategic interests,” and its military bases as a “network for global security.” But behind this soft language lies the truth that US is a power that does not feel strong unless it subjecs others. This is why intervention has become a doctrine, invasion a common option, and siege a tool with which it strikes peoples before governments.

Wars from Afghanistan to Iraq and Beyond

It is impossible to discuss American policy without addressing a long history of bloodshed, from Vietnam, where fire consumed forests and bodies, to Iraq, which was bombarded in the name of “freedom,” passing through Afghanistan, which became a testing ground for occupation and then a discarded pawn after twenty years of folly.

In the same context, when US does not wage war with weapons, it wages it with starvation, considering the economic sanctions it imposes on many countries as a tool that places entire societies under the guillotine. Thus, the most dangerous flaw in the American political mind is its “belief” that the world can only be ordered according to its rules, and that security can only be achieved if all other powers remain weak and ineffective.

While it speaks of peace, it sends warships to distant seas. While it claims to protect peoples, it supports oppressive regimes as long as they remain within its orbit. And while it lectures on human rights, the Israeli enemy commits the most heinous massacres of the modern era with American weapons.

Aggressive American Wars

The United States has built its power through a long series of wars, interventions, sanctions, control of resources, and dominance over international decision-making. Therefore, describing it as a nation built on aggression is not an emotional outburst, but rather an accurate assessment of a decades-long policy that justifies aggression in the name of security, legitimizes plunder in the name of stability, and cloaks arrogance in the rhetoric of freedom.

The United States has recently waged wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen. At least, these are the wars officially acknowledged by the Pentagon. The actual scope and reach of American warfare are far broader, and completed research reveals that, as of 2019, the United States had conducted approximately 400 military interventions since its founding in 1776.

Over the past two decades, the United States has dropped an average of 46 bombs and missiles on other countries every day, and a recent study revealed that more than a quarter of the 400 wars the United States has labeled as “military-led operations,” “police actions,” or “humanitarian interventions” have been. waged in west Asia and Africa.
