Zionist enemy forces stormed a wedding hall in the town of Al-Eizariya in occupied al-Quds, where a wedding ceremony was taking place. The forces opened fire, launched sound bombs, used pepper spray, and assaulted a number of attendees before arresting several people, including the groom.
In a related development, Zionist enemy forces raided the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, on Saturday evening. Military vehicles patrolled the town’s streets without reports of arrests. Local sources said that the occupation forces closed the town’s entrance during their withdrawal and prevented citizens’ vehicles from passing, leading to a severe traffic congestion.
In the southern West Bank, Zionist enemy forces set up two military checkpoints in Bethlehem Governorate. A local source reported that the checkpoints were established at the eastern entrance of Ush Ghurab and the western entrance of Aqabat Hasna, where citizens’ vehicles were searched and identities checked, causing disruption to freedom of movement.
Since the outbreak of the Zionist war of genocide on the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023, the West Bank, including the occupied East of al-Quds, has witnessed a noticeable escalation in raids and incursions.
In parallel with the genocide in Gaza, the Zionist enemy “army” and its settlers have intensified their attacks across the West Bank, including East al-Quds, resulting in the killing of 1,105 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 11,000 others, and the arrest of more than 21,000 people.
