Lebanon is unequivocally and directly covered by the current truce agreement, and ongoing Israeli military actions constitute a major aggression and flagrant violation of the ceasefire against a fundamental and primary front of the Axis of Jihad and Resistance, according to the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi.
In his address Thursday on the latest regional developments, Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that "the simultaneous American and Israeli movement—manifested on the ground by the enemy deploying five military divisions to pressure southern Lebanon—is an explicit breach of commitments, a disrespect for the truce, an aggression threatening the truce in every sense.
Axis Cannot Stand Idly By
The leader explained that "the axis—at the level of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the remaining support fronts—cannot stand idly by and spectate before this Zionist military pressure aimed at invading southern Lebanon and targeting the Islamic Resistance and the Lebanese people with all criminality." He affirmed that "this can never be tolerated."
He described the Zionist aggression on Lebanon as "reckless and brutal aggression through which the occupation seeks to achieve maximum gains according to its objectives in the Zionist scheme—based on killing, destruction, and control over Lebanon at political, economic, and security levels, and the occupation of wide areas of it at this stage." He noted that "this escalatory path cannot be overlooked."
A Pattern of Hollow Truces
The leader stated that "the Americans and Israelis always work to impose fragile truces at certain times when they fail to achieve their gains and field objectives, instead of seriously and sincerely moving to halt aggression and adhere to charters and agreements."
He cited the course of events in Gaza, where enemies failed to adhere to clear humanitarian entitlements for the Palestinian people—including complete cessation of aggression, full withdrawal from the Strip, and facilitating humanitarian supplies of food and medicine—"all legitimate rights the occupation has not fulfilled."
Sayyed Abdulmalik noted that the same pattern extended to Lebanon, even before this round of American-Israeli aggression on Iran and Lebanon. After the Battle of "First Striking Power," the Lebanese authorities assumed their role, yet the Israeli enemy did not adhere for fifteen months to the agreement between it and the Lebanese state, despite clear guarantees.
The enemy continued to occupy points in southern Lebanon, practiced daily killing resulting in hundreds of martyrs during that period, and continued abduction operations, leveling of homes and farms, building demolition, incursions, violations, and airspace permissibility—including the deliberate poisoning of agricultural crops by spraying them with pesticides and toxins.
The Zionist Scheme: No Respect for Agreements
The leader affirmed that the Zionist enemy has not ceased these violations because it seeks to impose the "equation of permissibility" against this nation—just as it does in Syria, despite the known orientation of the controlling groups there, who affirm they are not hostile to Israel and are hostile to others.
Yet even this did not intercede for them; "southern Syria remains occupied, and permissibility continues in all its forms—killing, abduction, incursions."
"The Israeli enemy, along with its American partner, create a state of disturbances and problems in the region and the world as a result of an aggressive orientation based on implementing the satanic Zionist scheme against the Islamic nation," Sayyed Abdulmalik stressed.
"They do not fulfill commitments or agreements, nor give any consideration to international law or the United Nations." This path produces "great dangers and threats to security and stability at the regional and global level," confirming God's words: "Is it not that whenever they make a covenant, a party of them throw it aside?"
The leader called for directing "all global blame and pressures in the Arab and Islamic region and West Asia—which are the affected and targeted parties before others—toward the Americans and Israelis, because this aggressive orientation has no justification or necessity, and has serious repercussions affecting the global economy and international security and stability."
He affirmed that "peoples must have a high level of awareness of the reality of the dangers represented by the American-Israeli approach—which has descended upon the region with its evil and criminality—and that everything done in confronting this falls within the legitimate, moral, humanitarian, religious, and national responsibility of all peoples."
Critique of Lebanese and Arab Official Positions
The leader strongly criticized the approach of Lebanese authorities, along with some Arab regimes, in holding the resistance in Lebanon responsible and directing blame toward it for what the Israeli enemy does.
"The facts confirm that the Zionists carry out their aggression from occupied Palestine, which they occupied unjustly and in which they executed the most heinous crimes before turning to target Lebanon and other countries within their expansionist scheme."
He reminded the nation that in past phases, the enemy reached the point of invading all of Lebanon and reaching Beirut before Hezbollah emerged as a resistance force. "The expulsion of the occupier and forcing it to withdraw was not achieved through negotiations, bargaining, Security Council resolutions, or international mediations—but was forced by weapons, jihad, and sacrifices."
The Problem Is Not Hezbollah's Weapons
"The problem in Lebanon is not Hezbollah nor its weapons. The problem lies with the Zionist Jews and their weapons—supplied by America and the West—the weapons that threaten the nation, with which thousands of children, women, and civilians have been killed in Palestine, Lebanon, and other areas," Sayyed Abdulmalik stated.
He noted that everything in the Zionist enemy's possession—including the nuclear dimension—represents a means of committing criminality and a danger to global security and stability.
Lebanon: The Nation's Largest Support Front
Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that "what Hezbollah and the resistance did in operations and the 'Devouring Storm' battle is a legitimate action—a necessity to repel danger from Lebanon and confront the enemy, an unavoidable necessity in confronting the Israeli enemy—a legitimate action to defend Lebanon and its people, carried out with great bravery despite the scale of aggression and the movement of five Zionist divisions."
He emphasized that "the Lebanon front is a front for the entire nation in confronting an enemy of everyone. It is the largest support front with direct impact in supporting the Palestinian people—its great importance to Palestine, to Gaza, to the Palestinian people, to the Palestinian cause—is known and recognized."
As a direct front confronting the Israeli enemy, "it is important that it receives support from the entire nation."
Weak Arab Official Response
The leader expressed regret that "the prevailing situation at the official Arab and Islamic level, for the most part, has not risen to the level of European positions and other countries."
Statements and positions have been issued from Canada, Australia, Spain, European countries, and others—adopting clear positions on the necessity of including Lebanon in the ceasefire agreement and adherence to it, stabilizing the region generally, and taking a position against the continuation of Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
However, "at the official Arab level, the situation is very weak—some may even be encouraging the Israeli enemy to continue its aggressions on Lebanon."
No Silence for Continuing Aggression
Sayyed Abdulmalik concluded: "It can never be that a ceasefire agreement continues at the axis level and at the regional level generally, while aggression simultaneously continues against Lebanon, targeting the resistance in Lebanon and the Lebanese people with everything currently ongoing.
This cannot be tolerated. This is necessary at the axis level—we cannot overlook or remain silent before an enemy that continues its criminality, aggression, concealment, and contempt for agreements."
