Yemen remains steadfast in both official and popular orientation—a great positive reflecting resilience, courage, and a sense of responsibility—according to the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, who called for a massive million-strong march on Friday to affirm the nation's position and support Lebanon and its resistance.
In his address Thursday on the latest developments, the leader affirmed that Yemen's position within the Axis of Jihad and Resistance remains unwavering as developments require. "Our position is also within the framework of the principle of Unity of Arenas, and with the people of Lebanon, the Islamic Resistance, and Hezbollah in Lebanon—a steadfast position," he stated.
Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that the Yemeni people, through their faith-based identity, "do not accept humiliation or subjugation, and can never submit to the Zionist scheme." The Yemeni people "have raised the banner of jihad for the sake of God and move with dignity, for dignity comes from faith, and God Almighty says: 'For God belongs all might, and for His Messenger, and for the believers.'"
"We have seen the reality of many peoples—a reality of humiliation where they dare not even speak the word of truth in confronting America and Israel, against American and Israeli tyranny," Sayyed Abdulmalik continued. "Our dear Yemeni people speak the word of truth, stand in the position of truth, perform jihad for the sake of God, and move based on the Holy Quran. This is a very great blessing."
The leader noted that "we see the credibility of the faith-based belonging of our dear people—Yemen of faith, the people whom the Messenger attested to as possessing faith. We see this credibility in jihad, in the righteous position, in sincere movement, and in practical response to the directives of God Almighty."
He considered that "the highest and greatest manifestation of jihad for the sake of God in this era is to confront the Zionist Jews in their Zionist scheme that targets us in everything—in our religion and our worldly affairs. The highest and greatest manifestation of that is jihad for the sake of God."
Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that the Jews target us in everything, working to obliterate the landmarks of Islam and to enslave these peoples "in every sense of the word in their distorted texts." He explained that in their Talmud, their culture, their discourse, their thinking, and their view of these peoples, the Jews openly declare "hostility toward these peoples and their permissibility."
"Our responsibility is to perform jihad," the leader declared. "This is a great field for jihad for the sake of God Almighty." He questioned: "Where are the forces, movements, and entities that present themselves as Islamic? Scholarly figures, forces, entities, organizations, institutions, parties—where are they?"
The leader emphasized that "this is a great and sacred field for jihad for the sake of God Almighty, in confronting disbelief, tyranny, the tyrant, arrogance, injustice, and criminality." He noted that "God Almighty's promises of victory are tied to practical response to His directives and teachings."
Call for Million-Strong March
Sayyed Abdulmalik warned against abdication of responsibility, affirming that "this will not benefit this nation." He emphasized that confronting the enemies' aggression, tyranny, evil, and criminality is "the correct and legitimate choice by all considerations, by all norms and laws, and by all charters—and it aligns with the directives of God Almighty."
In concluding his address, he called upon the Yemeni people to stage a massive million-strong march on Friday in the capital Sana'a and across other provinces—"to affirm steadfastness in position, to support Lebanon and the resistance in Lebanon and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and to prepare for all potential developments in confronting the enemies of Islam and Muslims."
