The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that the Islamic Republic emerged victorious from the “third imposed war,” which began with “American deception and the assassination of commanders and the martyred Imam,” stressing that the enemy failed to achieve any of its objectives and that Trump was forced to request a ceasefire after 40 days of confrontation.

In an interview with Iranian state television, Ghalibaf said Iran emerged from the war significantly stronger in both offensive capability and determination, revealing that new defensive capabilities were developed within a few months that enabled the targeting of 180 drones.

He stated that the targeting of an F-35 fighter jet was not accidental but a complex technical operation that made the enemy understand the nature of Iran’s capabilities and the direction Tehran is pursuing, adding that enemy strikes failed to destroy missile capabilities or hit launch platforms.

He added that adversaries attempted to create internal chaos but failed, and also attempted a ground offensive decision which did not succeed. He said: “We were firm when carrying out our military work, and today we continue our work with full resolve.”

Ghalibaf stressed that Iran remains “fully prepared to respond at any moment to any enemy mistake.”

He also said there is no gap between the field, the street, and diplomacy, noting that the Iranian people’s steadfastness and presence in the streets for 50 nights were the reason for the strength of the field position.

He added that America, which had thought Iran was like Venezuela, attempted to create internal chaos and breach western borders but failed completely. He also claimed that no one responded to Trump’s call for NATO to participate in opening the Strait of Hormuz.

Ghalibaf revealed that Washington sent messages and proposals containing 15 points through Pakistan after failing to impose its demands, noting that the Supreme National Security Council studied them carefully.

He said that the responsibility of securing the rights of the people now lies with what he called “diplomacy of power,” stressing that American threats have become ineffective after Iran’s firm responses.

He further emphasized the full readiness of military forces to respond to any enemy mistake at any time, saying: “Just as the people are ready in the streets, the armed forces are also fully prepared,” with the aim of preventing the enemy from imposing its will and securing the rights gained by the Iranian people through strength.

He also revealed details of negotiations that led to a ceasefire, stating that Tehran rejected a US proposal of 15 points and instead presented 10 points that guaranteed the rights of the Iranian people and conditioned a ceasefire in the region, particularly in Lebanon, as a fundamental requirement for restoring normal activity in the Strait of Hormuz.

He explained that Iran, in coordination with the Supreme Leader, insisted on its 10-point proposal, which included Hezbollah as an integral part of the agreement, saying discussions centered on Hezbollah being included in the ceasefire framework.

He added that when the Pakistani Prime Minister published a tweet, it also mentioned Hezbollah, and that this “forced the Americans to accept Iranian conditions,” reaching the point where Trump allegedly published Iranian demands on social media to ensure implementation.

Regarding frozen Iranian funds, Ghalibaf said they were among the demands alongside the ceasefire in Lebanon, adding: “We said that if the demand for a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of frozen funds are not met, we will not enter into discussion on the remaining 10 points.”

He revealed that he spoke for two hours and fifteen minutes with the Pakistani army commander regarding the ceasefire in Lebanon, which was the first issue discussed with the Americans. He said Iran warned that if the ceasefire in Lebanon was not implemented, negotiations would not continue and war would begin, and for that reason the Strait of Hormuz was closed.

Ghalibaf stressed again that the American threats have become ineffective in the face of Iran’s firm responses, asserting that Hormuz is under the control of the Islamic Republic, which has transformed its capability there from “potential to actual.”

He said Iran does not seek to destabilize security but invites non-hostile countries to benefit from the strait, adding that he told the American side that “trust must be built first” in response to their talk of “good faith.”

He described negotiation as “one of the methods of struggle” to reclaim the rights of the Iranian people, for which Tehran is prepared to shed blood, stating: “For me, there is no difference between negotiation papers and war maps.”

Ghalibaf declared that the Iranian people managed to bring a "superpower"—America and the Zionist entity—to its knees, insisting that no negotiations took place before the ceasefire and that Trump is “a master of lies.”

He said the presentation of the 10-point proposal occurred within the last 48 hours before the ceasefire, adding that “in the end, our will was imposed,” and warning that if the naval blockade continues against Iran, the closure of the strait will continue.

Regarding ongoing negotiations, he said some issues have reached conclusions while others have not, adding that Iran is still far from a final agreement and insists on certain non-negotiable issues.

He concluded that Iran has made progress in negotiations but significant gaps remain, saying Washington must decide whether to gain the trust of the Iranian people, and if it claims good faith it must abandon unilateralism.

He added that Iran’s policy is step-by-step commitment and that agreements must not proceed in a way where Iran fulfills obligations while the other side withdraws, warning that the enemy continues to seek new plots every day.

The American President, the criminal and delusional Trump had earlier claimed that Iran agreed to fully open the “Iran Strait” (Hormuz) for full passage, while stating that a maritime blockade on Iranian ports would remain until “100% completion of dealings,” expecting the process to move quickly.

Following Trump’s remarks, Iran reportedly announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that repeated American betrayal had returned the strait to its previous status.
