The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has revealed a new Zionist plan to construct 2,721 settlement housing units across a number of settlements in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the commission said that the Higher Planning Council of the occupation's Civil Administration is scheduled to convene on Wednesday, June 3, to discuss a new package of settlement-related plans. According to the commission, the proposals include advancing the construction of no fewer than 2,721 new settlement housing units in West Bank settlements, alongside regulatory and structural plans aimed at expanding the jurisdiction of settlements and strengthening their legal and planning frameworks.

The commission stated that the proposed housing units are distributed among several settlements throughout the West Bank. The largest project involves the construction of 1,006 housing units in the settlement of "Gvaot", west of Beit-lehem. The settlement is currently being established as an independent settlement following its separation from "Alon Shvut" in March 2025.

According to the statement, another 922 housing units are planned for the "Har Bracha" settlement south of Nablus, 455 units for the "Mevo Dotan" settlement west of Jenin, and 234 units for the "Kiryat Arba" settlement east of al-Khalil, in addition to other projects.

The commission added that the upcoming meeting will also discuss several plans concerning amendments to construction boundaries, changes in land-use classifications, and updates to building regulations in multiple settlements. It said these measures reflect the continued efforts of the Zionist entity's "government" to complete the planning and legal infrastructure of the settlement project in parallel with the physical expansion of settlements.

The commission said the plans demonstrate the continued pursuit by Zionist authorities of creating new realities on Palestinian land through the expansion of existing settlements and the development of settlement centers with an increasingly urban character.

It warned that the proposed measures could lead to further confiscation of Palestinian land, deepen the geographic fragmentation of Palestinian communities, and represent an extension of the gradual annexation policies being implemented by the Zionist enemy across various parts of the occupied West Bank.

According to data published by the commission on March 30, marking Land Day, approximately 542 Zionist enemy settlements and settlement outposts are spread across the occupied West Bank. These include 192 officially recognized settlements and 350 outposts. More than 165 of the outposts have been established since October 2023, while 59 were created during 2025 alone. Together, they are inhabited to more than 780,000 settlers.

The occupied West Bank has witnessed a significant escalation in settler attacks since the start of the war in Gaza on October 8, 2023. These attacks have frequently occurred under the protection of Zionist enemy forces, particularly in rural areas and Bedouin communities adjacent to settlements and outposts, which have repeatedly served as launching points for attacks targeting Palestinians and their property.

The escalation has resulted in the deaths of 1,168 Palestinians, the injury of 12,666 others, the arrest of nearly 23,000 people, and the displacement of 33,000 individuals, according to figures published by the Palestinian Government Media Office on May 26.
