The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, on Monday, the Saudi aggression targeting Sana'a International Airport.
In an official statement, the Ministry declared that this aggression is considered a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, an affront to the sovereignty and unity of Yemen, and runs counter to the efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in Yemen, while contradicting the 2022 ceasefire agreement.
The Ministry further pointed out:
"The aggression against a civilian airport and threatening the security and safety of a passenger aircraft constitutes a flagrant violation of international aviation law and is completely unacceptable."
The Ministry concluded its statement by reaffirming that the Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to provide any necessary assistance to advance the political process and implement the roadmap in Yemen.
