The American travel and tourism magazine Condé Nast Traveler confirmed that "there are major flight delays between Riyadh and the rest of the Gulf countries on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, following Yemeni attacks."
The magazine explained that "missile strikes from Yemen on Saudi Arabia are affecting Saudi airspace," noting that "Flydubai is facing cancellations this week on flights to Abha (Airport)."
Condé Nast Traveler drew attention to the fact that "some flights are being diverted to King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, while airlines—including KLM and Pegasus—continue to suspend their flights to Riyadh and Dammam."
The magazine reported that "King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and other airports are urging passengers traveling to affected destinations to contact their airlines before heading to the airport."
Earlier, the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) in Yemen warned airline companies operating in Saudi airspace that it is unsafe as long as the Saudi aggression against our country continues, emphasizing that this announcement was made out of concern for the safety of civil aviation.
The HOCC stressed that Saudi airspace would be a theater of operations for our armed forces, and that the Republic of Yemen disclaims all responsibility following this announcement.
