Abdulqader Al-Murtadha, head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, announced that the committee would hold a press conference today to announce the release of 195 prisoners who voluntarily surrendered without fighting during the recent events.
In a press statement, Al-Murtadha said the release would be carried out in implementation of the general amnesty decree issued by Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council.
