Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi , on Friday, June 27, stated that the Iranian Parliament voted to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) until the safety and security of Iran's nuclear activities are guaranteed.

In a post on X platform, Araghchi added that this decision was a direct result of Rafael Grossi's unfortunate role in covering up the fact that the agency had officially announced a decade ago that it had closed all previous files related to Iran's nuclear program.

Araghchi explained that, through this biased action, Grossi directly paved the way for a politically motivated resolution against Iran in the IAEA Board of Governors and facilitated the illegal attacks launched by the Zionist entity and the United States on Iranian nuclear sites.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also noted that Grossi's astonishing refusal, contrary to his professional duties, to condemn these clear violations of the Agency's safeguards regime and its Charter.

Araghchi affirmed that the IAEA and its Director General bear full responsibility for this abhorrent situation, emphasizing that Grossi's insistence on inspecting the bombed sites under the pretext of safeguards monitoring is meaningless and may even reflect malicious intent.

Araghchi concluded by emphasizing that Iran reserves the full right to take any necessary action to defend its interests, its people, and its sovereignty.
