The Zionist enemy persisted in its crimes across Lebanon, despite the ongoing truce agreement and Hezbollah's highest levels of restraint—further exposing the criminal nature of Zionist aggression.
Multiple sources reported that the Zionist enemy carried out several airstrikes in southern Lebanon today, resulting in one martyr and 24 civilian injuries in preliminary tolls.
The Lebanese Health Ministry later updated the toll to 21 martyrs and 21 wounded before local sources confirmed four additional injuries due to a Zionist drone strike on the Shakra area in southern Lebanon.
These Israeli violations exploit the Lebanese government’s preoccupation with suppressing and pursuing young resistance fighters linked to Palestinian factions—while shamefully ignoring Zionist attacks and airstrikes.
Since the start of the November 27 ceasefire between Tel Aviv and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, Israeli occupation forces have been launching assaults on Lebanon, including airstrikes throughout the Arab nation, breaching the agreement.
On January 27, 2025, Lebanon announced its decision to extend the ceasefire with Israel until February 18.
Although the deadline of February 18 has passed, Israel continues to maintain its occupation of five significant regions in southern Lebanon, namely Labbouneh, Mount Blat, Owayda Hill, Aaziyyeh, and Hammamis Hill, all situated near the border.
Lebanon has condemned the continued presence of Israeli military forces, viewing it as a violation of the ceasefire agreement and the established timeline for withdrawal. Senior officials in Beirut have expressed their commitment to take "all necessary measures" to remove the occupying troops from the nation.
