Yesterday, Saturday, the Dutch city of Papendrecht witnessed a protest against the export of spare parts for the F-35, the stealth multi-role fighter jet, to "Israel" by GKN Fokker.
The demonstrators, including Dutch citizens, marched from the famous Markt Square to the GKN Fokker factory and the headquarters of GKN Aerospace.
The marchers held up banners reading, "We are all Palestinians. Cut all ties with the apartheid state of Israel," expressing their rejection of arms exports or any military support to "Israel".
The demonstrators also chanted slogans such as "Fokker, damn you, stop supporting genocide," "Shame on you, Fokker, your hands are stained with blood," "Free Palestine," and "Death to the Israeli army."
In a statement read on behalf of the protesters, it was recalled that a Dutch court last year decided to halt the export of F-35 spare parts to Israel after concluding that Tel Aviv was violating international humanitarian law in the Gaza Strip.
