The Yemeni General Corporation for Radio and Television convened a meeting chaired by Minister of Information Hashem Sharaf al-Din, with the attendance of Director General Abdulhafidh Mu’jib, directors of state TV channels, Radio Sana’a, and the head of the local radio sector.

The meeting focused on preparations and media plans to cover the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) in a way that reflects the significance of the occasion and delivers a high-quality media message both domestically and internationally. The aim is to deepen the connection with the Messenger and highlight his exemplary legacy.

Participants reviewed coordination efforts among various national public and private television and radio stations to implement joint media activities that meet public expectations and resonate with the occasion’s importance.

Minister Sharaf al-Din emphasized the media’s critical role in preparing for and covering the Mawlid al-Nabawi 1447 AH celebrations. He highlighted the symbolic significance of the event as a reaffirmation of the Yemeni people’s steadfast devotion to the Prophet and their commitment to embody his teachings in both practical and spiritual aspects of life.

He further noted that the media’s attention to this revered religious occasion reflects the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the guidance of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, and the program of the government of change and construction, all emphasizing devotion to God Almighty and the Prophet, who was sent as a mercy to all worlds.

The Minister called for integrated media efforts to comprehensively cover activities and events leading up to the central celebrations, urging unified broadcasting of interactive radio and television programs to engage the public and express their joy in this significant religious event.
