Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the Leader of the Revolution, commented on the Israeli attack targeting the State of Qatar, describing it as “two attacks at once: the first on Qatari sovereignty and another on the Hamas negotiating delegation present on its territory.”
In his weekly speech, which addressed developments in the aggression on Gaza and the regional and international landscape, Sayyed Al-Houthi, the most senior Ansarallah movement, emphasized that Israeli actions reflected its efforts to consolidate “the equation of permissibility” against the entire Islamic nation, without exception for any Arab or Muslim country.
“The attack on the sovereign State of Qatar, a regional and international power, comes within the context of an expansionist Israeli approach that disregards international law and diplomatic considerations.” Al-Houthi added. “Qatar plays a pivotal role in efforts to halt the aggression on Gaza, yet this role has not been respected.”
Leader Al-Houthi slammed the official Arab and Islamic positions, which have been limited to statements of condemnation, describing them as “ineffective.”
He said, “Had the statements been transformed into practical positions, they would have had a different impact.” Israeli bullying and arrogance stem from the goal of eliminating all practical and effective action by Arab and Islamic regimes.”
Sayyed Abdul-Malik explained there is not a single Arab country that should naturally announce the severing of ties with “Israel”, despite its crimes in Gaza, Qatar, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen.
Sayyed Al-Houthi also considered the silence of some Gulf states regarding the aggression against Qatar to be a failure to protect the sanctity and sovereignty of the entire region.
He addressed media reports of “American involvement” in an attempt to target a Hamas delegation inside Qatar under the guise of a negotiating proposal, describing the matter as a “failed criminal plot.”
“We thank Allah for the failure of this aggression and congratulate Hamas on its survival,” Sayyed Abdul-Malik added.
He pointed out the paradox in the positions, as Yemen faces ongoing aggression without any condemnation from the Arab regimes, and sometimes even “statements are made in line with the occupation”.
Sayyed al-Houthi stated that "the enemy and its backers have come to understand that the ceiling of Arab and Islamic responses—whether collective or individual—is nothing more than a few lines written on a piece of paper." He stressed that the complete absence of any practical action, even at the most basic level, poses a grave danger to the entire nation and has only emboldened Israeli ambitions.
He added that Israeli arrogance and lawlessness are a direct result of the Arab and Islamic regimes’ failure to take any concrete or meaningful steps in response.
Sayyed al-Houthi further criticized what he described as the “statement-based strategy,” saying it exists nowhere else in the world except among Arabs and Muslims. "No nation under attack," he said, "would consider such a response effective. It is a staggering level of blindness and stupidity to answer Israeli violations with a few written lines and then move on as if nothing happened."
He concluded: “A strategy of statements without action is a foolish strategy. It is the very definition of excessive stupidity and blatant misguidance.”
