Acting Prime Minister Allama Muhammad Muftah, accompanied by the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud Obad, and First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, inspected the extensive destruction caused by Israeli airstrikes on the densely populated Al-Tahrir neighborhood in central Sana’a.

During the visit, Muftah and his delegation assessed the severe damage inflicted on residential homes, civilian infrastructure, and public landmarks, including the National Museum.

Muftah strongly condemned what he described as a heinous war crime committed by the Israeli regime, targeting a crowded civilian area in blatant violation of international law and humanitarian conventions. “This attack holds no military or security significance whatsoever,” he stated. “It merely exposes the regime’s utter failure, barbarity, and flagrant disregard for all international and moral norms.”

He added that such attacks are part of a broader pattern of Zionist aggression across the region, paralleling the ongoing genocide, massacres, and starvation tactics being carried out against the people of Gaza with direct U.S. support and complicity.

Muftah emphasized that these crimes will not deter the Yemeni people from standing firmly with Gaza, stressing that the mass rallies held today in Sana’a and other provinces reflect Yemen’s unwavering religious, moral, and humanitarian commitment to the Palestinian cause—no matter the cost.

For his part, the Mayor of the Capital reviewed the efforts made by emergency response teams in the immediate aftermath of the strike, including rescue operations, evacuations, and debris removal. He denounced the attack as a terrorist act, asserting that the deliberate targeting of residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure in the capital and elsewhere is a sign of desperation and strategic failure on the part of the Israeli regime.

Joining the delegation was Dr. Abdulwahab Sharaf Al-Din, head of the Emergency Operations Room at the Capital Secretariat.
