The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip confirmed on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation has committed 738 violations of the ceasefire agreement, describing them as "serious and systematic" breaches that amount to grave violations of international humanitarian law.

The office accused "Israel" of deliberately undermining the essence of the ceasefire and the provisions of the humanitarian protocol tied to it.

In a detailed press statement, the office reported that its teams had monitored hundreds of incidents between October 10 and the evening of December 8, signaling a sustained pattern of ceasefire agreement breaches.

Among the documented violations:

  • 205 direct attacks on civilians
  • 37 incursions by military vehicles into residential areas
  • 358 bombardments targeting unarmed civilians and their homes
  • 138 attacks on civilian buildings and institutions

These actions have reportedly resulted in the martyrdom of 386 citizens and the injury of 980 others, in addition to 43 cases of arbitrary detentions carried out by the occupation forces.

Human toll mounts: Hundreds martyred, nearly a thousand injured

The civilian casualties in Gaza during the ceasefire period raise questions over the Israeli commitment to the terms of the ceasefire. The Government Media Office emphasized that such acts constitute a deliberate and organized campaign of violence, aimed at breaking the will of the Palestinian people and forcing new realities on the ground.

In parallel with the military violations, the office highlighted an ongoing Gaza aid blockade, revealing that only 13,511 trucks out of 36,000 scheduled have been allowed into the Strip during the past 60 days. This equates to a compliance rate of just 38%, with only 226 trucks entering daily, far below the 600-truck daily quota agreed upon.

The severe shortfall has exacerbated the Gaza humanitarian crisis, leading to dangerous shortages in food, medicine, fuel, and clean water, and intensifying the suffering of more than two million civilians living under siege.

Gaza media office urges global action to enforce ceasefire

In its statement, the Government Media Office warned that the continued violations reflect a deliberate attempt to bypass the ceasefire, describing the situation as an effort to impose a humanitarian reality based on “subjugation, starvation, and blackmail.”

The office held the Israeli occupation “fully responsible” for the ongoing deterioration in Gaza, including the lives lost and the widespread destruction that has continued despite the ceasefire agreement.

In conclusion, the Media Office called on the international community, the United Nations, US President Donald Trump, and the sponsors and guarantors of the agreement to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by compelling the occupation to honor its obligations under the ceasefire, ensure the protection of civilians, and guarantee the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid and fuel into the Gaza Strip.
