The emerging US-Iran nuclear agreement is a “bad deal for Israel," a former Israeli cabinet minister stated, warning that its repercussions will extend far beyond the political future of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, potentially harming "Israel" itself.

In an interview for Galei Israel radio, former minister Haim Ramon said the real problem lies in the damage the agreement inflicts on "Israel", assessing that the deal would have direct consequences for Netanyahu’s political fate.

Ramon claimed that Netanyahu is seeking to delay upcoming elections, hoping for developments that could change the political landscape, primarily the collapse of Iran’s system. However, Ramon asserted that this scenario is unlikely to materialize.

As elections draw nearer, Ramon added, the implications of the agreement and regional developments will carry significant political weight for Netanyahu.

'Israel' did not win in Lebanon, Iran, or Gaza

Commenting on the outcomes of recent wars "Israel" waged, Ramon noted that a prevailing sentiment among Israelis is that "Israel" has not achieved a decisive victory, despite what he described as "major military achievements."

“In the final result, we did not win,” Ramon said. “We did not win in Lebanon, we did not win in Iran, and we did not win against Hamas.”

His remarks followed claims by US President Donald Trump, who said Thursday that a “wonderful settlement” had been reached with Iran and suggested a deal could be signed in Europe in the coming days “once the documents are ready.”

Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said he would not attend the signing ceremony, which he claimed could take place “at the end of this week” in the presence of his vice president JD Vance.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Fars News Agency, citing a source close to the Iranian negotiating team, confirmed that no text for a preliminary memorandum of understanding with the United States has been approved so far.
