Eleven years have passed while the US-Saudi aggression continues to violate Yemen's land and people in a war that has shattered all laws and collapsed international conventions. Following eight years of continuous bombardment that spared neither stone nor human, a suffocating blockade and a systematic economic war continue to ravage what remains of the Yemeni people’s resources. Today, as the tragedy reaches a point of no return, Yemen stands tall to declare that the period of patience has concluded, signaling the launch of operations to end the occupation and lift the blockade through the combined force of arms and popular will.

A War Without Legal Cover: Agreements Shattered by Bombs

When the aggression coalition aircraft launched their airstrikes on the capital, Sana'a, on March 26, 2015, Yemeni political factions were meeting at Movenpick Hotel, on the verge of announcing an agreement to resolve the crisis and manage the political transition. This was later confirmed by the then-UN Envoy to Yemen, Jamal Benomar, who stated weeks after his resignation: "We were closer than ever to a political agreement when the airstrikes began" (The New York Times, April 2015). This UN disclosure revealed that the war was neither a necessity nor a last resort, but rather a coup against the political settlement and a deliberate sabotage of the Yemenis' consensus—stripping the aggression of any legal or moral justification from day one.

Over eight years of fierce warfare, the aggression coalition carried out more than 270,000 airstrikes, averaging over 90 raids per day. This systematic bombardment destroyed more than half a million homes and resulted in the martyrdom and injury of over 60,000 civilians, according to reports by the Ministry of Human Rights. The catastrophe extended beyond lives and homes to the near-total destruction of infrastructure, including roads, bridges, airports, ports, factories, hospitals, schools, and universities.

The aggression coalition, which included 17 countries with massive military weight, wagered on settling the battle within weeks. It mobilized hundreds of aircraft, thousands of troops, tanks, and armored vehicles, and recruited hundreds of thousands of local and foreign mercenaries, including Sudanese, Americans, and Colombians—facts documented by international journalistic investigations, such as those published by The New York Times regarding the coalition's use of Latin American mercenaries across various fronts.

However, the Yemeni army, backed by loyal tribes, inflicted a resounding strategic defeat on this war machine. The pinnacle of this resistance was the "Siege-Breaking" operations, executed in three phases between March 11 and 25, 2022. During these operations, the armed forces struck vital Aramco facilities deep within Saudi territory in Jeddah using drones and precision missiles, causing fires to rage in Saudi oil facilities for two consecutive days. Reuters covered the attack on March 26, 2022, confirming a massive fire at an Aramco facility and noting rising Saudi anxieties over global energy supply security. Facing this vulnerability, Riyadh announced at the time its inability to guarantee global oil supplies, prompting an urgent request for UN mediation.

Saudi Procrastination: Deepening the Crisis and Exploiting Wealth

The UN-brokered truce came just a week after the Siege-Breaking operations (April 2, 2022). Sana'a accepted it on the condition that humanitarian issues be addressed: releasing prisoners, lifting the blockade, paying public salaries, and compensating for the damages of the aggression. However, since signing the agreement, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has pursued a policy of stalling and procrastination, failing to fulfill the entitlements of the Yemeni people. Instead, it deepened the crisis and initiated an organized economic occupation.

It structured its proxy forces into military groups controlling vast areas of the country to enforce lawlessness under various names. Most critically, it continues to occupy vital ports and control national oil and gas wealth in the eastern and southern governorates, plundering resources away from the Yemeni people. The suffocating blockade remains imposed on ports and airports, alongside currency manipulation and the printing of unbacked banknotes as tools in a comprehensive economic war against Yemenis.

Gaza and Yemeni Support

Since October 2023, Yemen has taken up the responsibility of supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through qualitative operations in the Red and Arabian Seas targeting Israeli shipping, as part of the "Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad" battle. Throughout these two years of confronting the Israeli enemy, the Saudi regime exploited Yemen's preoccupation to intensify the blockade and economic aggression, blocking any measures that could alleviate the suffering of Yemenis while continuing to back its security cells to destabilize internal security.

Matters have now reached a point of no return. Popular resentment is boiling; tribes mobilize daily in mass rallies, declaring full readiness for all options outlined by the leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi. The leader clearly gave the green light in his address marking the new Hijri year 1448 AH, and reaffirmed it during his speech on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, explicitly calling for:

"Official and popular cooperation in our country to confront the threats and challenges resulting from the comprehensive hostile targeting by the enemies against our dear people, including: their occupation of a large area of the country, their control over national oil and gas wealth, their violation of the country's sovereignty and independence in every form, their blockade and comprehensive economic war against our people, and the mobilization of takfiris and mercenaries... This requires concerted efforts, relying on God, to end the aggression, occupation, and blockade, so that our dear people can enjoy full independence and freedom, benefit from their national wealth, and live in dignity and freedom from dependency."

Consequently, the armed forces have declared a definitive stance against the Saudi-American aggression coalition, stating that no option remains but a military solution, especially as Yemeni tribes declare full readiness for any impending developments.

An Unconquerable Yemen

Let it be known to all that the will of the Yemeni people did not bend throughout 11 years of one of the most brutal aggressions in modern history. The voices calling for popular mobilization are not chasing illusions; behind them stands a battle-tested army equipped with the experience and arsenal necessary to make any upcoming campaign under the banner of "lifting the blockade and ending the occupation" a decisively concluded battle. The coming days will prove that the Yemen which successfully struck Saudi oil facilities and established deterrence equations is now, more than ever, capable of reclaiming its full rights and writing a painful end for the aggressors, restoring the nation to its people—free, sovereign, and dignified.
