Residents of the town of Osarin and local youths repelled an attack by dozens of Zionist settlers on the outskirts of the town, located southeast of Nablus, on Thursday night, forcing the settlers to retreat before invading the town.

The youths, who mobilized collectively, confronted the settlers by throwing stones while chanting slogans, successfully driving them away before they could storm the town.

Osarin has been subjected to continuous settler attacks aimed at confiscating its land and increasing pressure on its residents.

The town is surrounded by several major Zionist settlements and their affiliated outposts, which affect the lands of Osarin and neighboring villages, including Beita, Aqraba, and Qabalan.

Zionist settlers have repeatedly attempted to establish new settlement outposts and install tents and caravans on the hills and lands connecting Osarin and Beita in an effort to link the settlements together and expand settlement control in the area.

The town has witnessed repeated confrontations between local residents and Zionist settlers, who are protected by Zionist forces, as residents seek to prevent attempts to establish new tents or settlement outposts on village land.

Osarin is located approximately 16 kilometers southeast of the city of Nablus and is surrounded by the villages of Aqraba, Talfit, and Beita.

The town is characterized by its mountainous terrain, with its economy relying primarily on olive cultivation, seasonal agriculture, and employment across various sectors.
